1st we pick Kevin Kolb Then we release Jeramiah Trotter Damn. What's next? Brian Dawkins gets traded? ****!
Don't worry, it's ok Brian. You guy are overhyping your chances this season any ways. Once McNabb goes down like usual, it'll be all over.
Haha and your point is? Fact is we've got a hell of a lot better chance than you. Look at most analysts picks, they've got the Cowboys or Saints coming out of the NFC and the Chargers or Patriots coming out of the AFC. Ask me how my team is doing when McNabb goes down in week 6 for the season...again.
^lol so funny yet so true. The Cowboys, Saints, and Bears are the top in the food chain in the NFC. In the AFC, the Chargers, Patriots, and Colts are.

They have McNabb who's an injury proned QB, they signed Takeo Spikes who was also injured, they released Trotter, and what?? Are they gonna do something?? I don't think so.
I hate the Cowboys, but Parcells held them back by limiting TO's plays. It also didn't help that TO played with a pretty much paralyzed finger. I do agree Tony Romo is a pretty bad QB, but he's serviceable. Romo with another year of experience, Barber III, Jones, a healthy Owens, Glenn, and that defense should be good enough to win the NFC East.
<div class="quote_poster">CLos Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">And the Eagles are better?? </div> Philly as of right now obviously isn't the best team in the NFC, but you act as if they're the worst team in the NFC. Whenever our guys actually STAY HEALTHY, we are easily one of the biggest threats in the NFC. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">They have McNabb who's an injury proned QB</div> Yes, he is. But Philly almost always have at least one or two servicable backup QBs(i.e Garcia last season, Feely this season). So even if he does go down, it's not really the end of the world, because Feely is still pretty capable. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">they signed Takeo Spikes who was also injured</div> Yes, but he still has a few seasons left in him and is still a good LB in this league. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">they released Trotter, and what??</div> I love Trotter(nh) and he provided great vet leadership but he's starting to go on the decline, I can see why they'd release him, the Eagles make moves like this for a reason..so I really don't see the point you're trying to get at with that one. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Are they gonna do something?? I don't think so.</div> Are you serious fam? What real points have you actually made to make such a statement? Have you really forgotten what Philly is really capable of? We can easily go farther this season than we did last season. Brian Westbrook is still a threat on the ground and in the air, we got one of the Top 5 Safteys in the NFL in Brian Dawkins, Lito Sheppard who is slowly starting to become a threat at the CB, not to mention..that D-Line of ours isn't too shabby, that brick wall of an O-Line is pretty cool too. So you still stick by that? Keep dreamin' fam.

Our defense is better, and I honestly think we're better offensively as well. We have a top QB in Donavan McNabb, a top RB in Brian Westbrook, decent receivers (Reggie Brown, Kevin Curtis, Hank Baskett, GLew), and probably the best offensive line in the NFL. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And the Eagles are better?? What big moves did the Cowboys make besides firing Bill Parcells? We beat them twice last year, once with McNabb, once without, I fail to see how we won't beat them again. You mentioned McNabb is injury prone, well TO has a hamstring problem that has bothered him quite a bit for the last couple of seasons

I'm disappointed in it, I still thought he had something left, but going with Gaither is probably the best move. Mcnabb is an "injury prone" QB who has led us to a Super Bowl and four NFC championship games, he was off to one of the best starts of his career last year before the freak injury. Takeo Spikes was injured two years ago and actually played a majority of last season. Yes I think they are better.
Just a question, how well do you guys think Gaither can fill Trotter's roll? Trotter's play has obviously declined, so is it far fetched to think Gaither can perform better than Trotter did last season?

The leadership we lose is irreplaceable though. Leadership Is based on a spiritual quality; The power to inspire, The power to inspire others to follow
