Does Derrick Rose have a shoe contract in China?

I'd like to see Dirk play in one last game. Dude has stuck with his franchise for his entire career. Even taking less then max money. He deserves one last honor from the fans.
There should be a "legacy" vote for each conference for a player over 35.

If Rose and Doncic make it, it will be very hard for both Lillard and Westbrook to both make it.
You constantly post about the all-star game, so you should know that fans only get 50% of the vote, correct?

Those guys aren't gonna make it.

Kobe was voted in as a starter his second year while averaging 15/3/3 on mediocre efficiency. Everyone accepted it. The funny thing is he came off the bench for all but one game that whole season for the Lakers.

On the one hand, they use the excuse that it's supposed to be an event for the fans, but then on the other hand All-Star selections are used when determining things like the Hall of Fame.

Pick one.

Either it's an event for the fans, which to me diminishes its significance in a player's career portfolio. OR it's something that matters, like getting an All-NBA nod. It can't be both.

And the REALLY weird part is that it's supposed to be for the fans, so it should be the most exciting players in the league, but the coaches use it as some kind of fucking reward for winning teams. The Warriors shouldn't have 4 players on the fucking team. That (to me) goes against the spirit of what they keep telling us the event is about.

So what.

There is nothing else where fans get to have any say at all in the NBA.

So?

I'm a fan and I don't want us voting. Lots of fans in this very forum agree with me.

I think you're discounting that particular demographic of fan that agrees that fans shouldn't vote. That fan isn't a causal fan.

Great post.

The fans votes are always suspect, but those early returns are effing unspooled.

I think you've hit the nail of the head for me. It needs to either be a fun fan thing, or a serious legacy thing; I can't take it seriously as both.

If it's a serious legacy thing, I think participation should be voted on only by the coaches, for the top players in the league regardless of conference, or position. The coaches are the only ones I vaguely trust. The fans, media, league, and refs even are all starfuckers.

If it's a fun fan thing, stop using it to rate players careers, HoF worthiness, and the like. Fans just vote for who they like, not for who they think the best players in the league are. I always vote for all the Australian players, and the Kiwi if I can fit him in (got to look after my little bros). I've even voted for Nate "Outback Shaq" Jawai FFS!

I just posted this in another thread, but thought it was more appropriate here.

Hilarious. Enjoy!

Competing for all-star votes I guess. Awesome!

I have to say, for a team that was owned by one of the pioneers of microsoft and technology was at the forefront of a lot of their in house stuff (at one time), the quality of this video is lacking.

Wow, two of the West’s starters are going to be god damn Derrick Rose and Doncic!

You have to remember that this is just the fan vote. Players and media also will be involved in the voting and hopefully brings it back to reality.
