Not giving up and I think they get the 8th seed. (Big deal...everyone after #7 stinks) They record should improve but it doesn't mean much if you can't get to #6. Just didn't play well enough in the first half of the season for the second half to mean much when everyone in front of you was so much better. Last year they were much more bunched up from #4 on down. This year it's #8 on down.

With a good run we can still get to .500 but it will be very, very tough. 8th seed is the best we can get and that's just not that exciting when you know it means having to play Warriors.
I completely disagree. I think the 7th seed is very much in play. Clippers will fall off completely and teams like Utah and OKC can also fall apart especially if there's an injury. We were wayyyyyyy behind the 5 seed last year but we started playing well and others subsided while Memphis also got hurt. I figure we go 26-10 the rest of the way. That's 45-37. If Clips go 15-22 or worse (very likely), we're 7th maybe more. One injury to Westbrook and that team collapses too.
So I looked it up. Last year on this date, Dallas was 5th with a 25-19 record. We were 9th at 19-26. Yet we finished 5th. This year's 6th seed, OKC, is 25-19 and we are 19-27. So see? We cant get higher than 8th unless one team tanks or we go ungodly. We have proven this year we are inconsitent.
I'm fine with the 8th seed. We just have to remember the lessons we learned last year and apply them this year, take out 2 starters on the other team and move on to the next round. We may have to take out 3 starters on the Warriors.
We will get the 8th seed at least, and what better way to start the playoffs then to take out the warriors Maybe even let them get to 3-1 before we come back
