when I look at Bibby, I look at how well he played down the stretch for the Hawks and in the playoffs. He doesn't have to be great scorers like Pierce, Wallace, Stoudamire, Thomas and McCants... he just has to effectively run the offense and not turn the ball over. I like him to do that a lot better than Rose and therefore choose the Bucks. Ghoti has 2 unproven 'potential' players starting on his team, KK30 has 5 experienced players starting on his who will find their roles and fill them.
True, but I think Alston obviously should be starting. Rose isn't ready by any means to lead a team far into the playoffs.
Didn't Peja play like 13 games 2 years ago? Varejao has only played in over 65 games once in his 4 year career too. both teams have players who have been injured before.
Varejao only missed part of one season due to injury, and that was a dislocated shoulder. He basically held out last year, and was a victom of DNP-CD his first year. That's only 1 season he missed time due to injury. Peja missed a full year pretty much due to back surgery. That's the same situation at Amare, except microfracture has been well documented, but Amare's looked fantastic returning from it. I don't think either of those guys are particular concerns.
I knew he held out last year, but I thought he got injured when he did come back and missed some games too... of course I don't follow his career that closely so I could be wrong about that.
I had two in the same month...I went from being the only chinese dude in my city who could dunk, to being just another chinese dude dreaming about dunking.
Could very well be. My point was that I was trying to semi-back up your statement with a personal experience that relayed the fact that yes, ankle sprains do happen frequently.
Bibby is a veteran leader who knows how to run an offense, he was injured last year but he still was able to lead his team to almost a first round upset agaisnt the Celtics. Oblivously his stats declined but hes not on this team to score hes just here to run the offense. Hes a smart player who can also hit big shots when needed. He can still stroke in from 3 and he averaged 2 a game. Also I have Telfair backing him up. Oblivously Telfair is still unproven but he did average almost 10 pts and 6 assists last year for a horrible team. That should quiet some concerns about Bibby. Bibby's been to the playoffs a lot so thats why I decided to draft him instead of let's say T.J Ford. You call my bench weak?? Have you looked at ghoti's bench? He has absolutely no offense off that bench. My bench may not have the best defense but the one thing they can do is score and that IMO is whats most important for a bench.
If Rose is good, he'll play. If he's not ready, we have enough depth to bring him along at his own pace. I think by the end of the season, he'll be pretty good. He's a special player.
I have no starting lineup at this time. There will be competition in camp. I have plenty of depth at PF depending on matchups. Five guys can play there depending on who they have to guard (And they are all good, too. No scrubs.).
How can you say a bench with Al Thornton and Rafer Alston has no offense? There are 3 double digit scorers on the bench shown in that lineup, and Thornton should average over 15 a game.
I don't think that piece of criticism is very relevant or insightful. I don't even know what you consider a "pure sg" or why my team can't win with the guards and wings we have. Should I have drafted worse players who are "pure sg"?
Especially common when you play "Balls to the wall" like Varejao. Nice to see you've adopted the Nuggets idea how to play basketball. All offense and just let the other team score to get the ball back faster.
