I assume Indiana is holding out for a young player or draft pick in the deal. That is why I was thinking Vonleh since he played for Indiana. I hope not though. I guess we classify Leonard as a stretch 5 so I guess we still had room. Leonard, Plumlee, Davis, Vonleh.........Kaman
I dont mind this at all. With or without LMA, we are a far deeper team with far more options of how to play.
When everyone is going one way, go the other. Blazer fans would embrace a tough minded team that roughed opponents up.
Vonleh right now a solid pF size and quickness wise. 240 with a 7'4" wingspan? He could use some weight but he can guard most PF's with a little experience. Especially with all the stretch 4's these days.
Read this Woj story peeps: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...illion-deal-with-trail-blazers-190056225.html Kaman part isn't correct is it?
Laker fans are kind of pissed they did not keep Davis. Not as pissed as some of the other players they lost , but they liked Ed.
It was just interesting that Woj wrote it like that was the plan all along. Maybe that's what his blazers source is telling him to save face from losing Monroe.
Blazer Brute Squad Plumlee - 7'0" Leonard - 7'1" Kaman - 7'0" Davis --- 6'10" Vonleh - 6'9" Just pound the little small-ball teams into the ground!
We're going to b better/more competitive v. what fans/world thinks; I like this move. Being the underdogs again is good; no1 will c us coming when we beat their asses into the ground! Ed & Vonleh & all the C's & Pf's will play plenty; @ 1st, Vonleh won't play a ton bc he still needs to b brought along a little slower (learn our guys & plays, he's not alone in this of course); should Vonleh start to break out later in the year (or have strong indications of some major leaps), then we can trade Ed mid-season w/ his very friendly contract
I certainly wouldn't mind. I think we can all agree that outside of Wes we've been a pretty soft team for quite some time. Not so sure that label can be applied any longer.
