Well, that will change in a few days when Kingspeed once again returns to "season over" mode and then you two can debate
I love this thread! Only six to go to prove you right speed, and have our blazers be talk of the NBA. Seriously KingSpeed, you make me happy.
Not trying to troll, but how many fans of those teams see the Blazers on their schedule and say, "yeah, we'll probably get a W in that one?" Bad teams win games too. There's a difference between a winnable game and a sure thing. The Pistons are a sure thing, but the Nets on the road, not so much...
I wouldn't even call the Pistons game a sure thing. All it takes for the Blazers to lose is a starter having a bad game.
If i'm pretty much any team in the league and were playing Portland at home i'd be feeling pretty happy. If I have to play Portland at the RG i'd be a little nervous but any playoff teams fan is thinking its a win still. No matter how bad a team is if they have a good home crowd then "easy" games can turn ugly fast.
Math lesson: The Lakers have lost to FIVE teams. ONE of those teams was us. Thus, besides us, they have lost to FOUR other teams. 5-1=4
Lakers not mighty? They have four HOFers. Three MVP Awards. Cover of Sports Illustrated: "Now THIS is going to be fun.". HCP had them winning 70 games. With Harden traded, Lakers are sure bet for Finals, so I hear. Yes, the Lakers are MIGHTY.
Yeah, I got it after the first time. But thanks for your condescending douchebaggery. I love how in your argument for the Lakers being "mighty" you cite what the cover of SI said and what HCP thinks. The point is, we beat a dysfunctional team with a bad coach trying to find its identity and live up to the hype. Maybe if we beat them in March, it'll be a different story.
THREE! The next one is the tough one. If we beat the Suns, we run the table. You literally heard it here first!
That would be one hell of a feat for this new nucleus of a team; especially one with such a staggered bench. But it would be so awesome to see. I think it's just what the team needs to actually get more confidence. Once they realize they have a shot at winning, then more win streaks will come.
