He wasn't speaking out against racism.

He was calling out a racist. Completely different situation.

If a racist is being a racist and you say he's a racist, that's not an insult.

It's the truth.

 

Sly, I doubt anyone wants to make their own forum or intentional insult people. I don't know how you made that read when it is pretty damned obvious
people would like not to be insulted to the point that they must just ignore it, and consider the source.

I grew up in a racist school system that only gave a fuck about kids that were minorities.

If you were white and had any problems, you were just a piece of shit spoiled problem child that had a silver spoon in your mouth, even if you were wearing that rattiest clothing in the school.

I’ve been picked on for being white, I’ve been jumped for standing up for myself, I’ve been suspended from school for standig up for myself.

I lost out on promotions in the Marines because I was white.

I could go on and on.

Despite all of that, I still hold no animosity for people of different skin tones.

Because I know that those people were just assholes.

So that’s part of the reason that I don’t like people like dviss.

Or his apologists.

I guess I’m a @dviss1 apologist cuz I know dude and know that whatever he posts here (or, moreso, how you choose to interpret it for yourself), he’s a good person and an even better father.

I'm a fairly quiet guy in person as it is, and I was near the end of spending 3 weeks at my dying mother's bedside, so I had some deep thoughts spinning around in my head.

I apologize if I seemed rude to anyone there, but am very thankful I had that little break at a tough time.

In person you seem like a nice, successful guy with a very positive outlook and a son who has clearly not been neglected. Would love to buy you a beer and talk about anything other than race or politics, as I usually avoid those topics completely except online.

 

It’s hilarious the same 4 guys keep liking each other’s posts about being white and racist and liking guns. Cute bunch.
