A lot of people would be correct in that belief. I might riot myself. Luckily, I don't think we need to worry about that. The amount of vote fraud it would take to steal this election is probably well beyond the capabilities of those who would steal it. barfo
It's like they're saying "Having a Black candidate just opens up a whole new can of worms. Maybe we should re-think this Equality stuff before somebody gets hurt."
Yeah, because there was zero cheering when OJ was found not guilty...which, iirc, was the most recent national event we had that was this racially charged. Oh, wait... And when Detroit was on fire after the Pistons won, was that because they were having their civil rights to have a crappy basketball team taken away? You could bring up the WTO riots of 1999, which were basically contrived to give activist students something to feel good about. ("Look at me! I'm the same as those guys in the 60's!")
If Obama wins by 10 points Repuglicans will still blame it on ACORN. I'm already imagining the Fox News headliners the day after.
I recall the looting in New Orleans by blacks after Hurricane Katrina. They were just wandering through a WalMart, taking items off the shelves like toys that had nothing to do with "survival." Even the black cops were looting. Unbelievable.
Well, obviously that's untrue. In fact, it's laughable. However, if in some swing states where there is an acknowledged 90-200,000 ACORN-led fraudulent registrations and where McCain loses by less than that I would expect a lengthy process of reviewing voter registrations. Win or lose, it's paramount it's an honest election. I think that given the huge volume of ACORN fraudulent voter registrations, to a certain extent this is a test of our democracy. I'd go so far as to state that the world, in general, is going to closely watch this election to see if a presidential election can be bought in the USA.
Oh, yeah, as to riots, I suppose. I anticipate an Obama win and I think there will large crowds cheering the victory, but I'm not so sure it will turn to rioting.
No riots, but just plans to assassinate him. btw, are you going to change your signature since it was shown to be not Lincoln who said those things?
Rasmussen Obama +5 Zogby Obama +4 Gallup Obama +5 GWU/Battleground Obama +3 IBP/TIPP Obama +3 All within the margin of error.
seriously--I just don't see people getting that crazy over McCain. It's like in 2000--nobody rioted over Gore because he just wasn't that inspiring in his campaign. I wanted him to win, but I didn't want it so much that I was going to set my coffee and newspaper down and get off my doughy ass and do something about it (other than vote). McCain just doesn't stir passion in anybody, which has been part of his problem. Palin does, but who is going to riot over the vice presidency?
exactly. which is why all the talk was about whether obama wins or loses. of course somehow maris can't understand that.
