Yep. It's pretty close (in spite of weeks and weeks of stories about how McCain's been on the ropes) and I can't believe that anyone paying attention would go out and riot if McCain wins. Ed O.
He's not done like Mondale was done. He's done as in it would take an absolute miracle to win. The polls really haven't tightened. Over the past several weeks, they've fluctuated up and down by a point or so, but basically shown Obama with a 6-7 point lead. And Obama is in even better shape when one looks at the battleground states. He's around 300 electoral votes that are "safe" and has a chance at almost 50 more that are still toss-up but leaning Obama. Could all of this be turned around in a week? I'm sure it's conceivable. But the chances are pretty tiny at this point.
