Good idea. Being reactionary before finding out the actual problem is always the best route. Make rash decisions now; find out what actually happened later. The foundation for success.
Why? Why! WWWWWHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ... nope, dont feel better. This sucks. Hang in there Elliot.
It's amazing how much the Blazers have locked shit down this year. This happened yesterday and we're just finding out about it now?
A former co-worker of mine is an assistant coach for a Pac-10 basketball team, so he is not just some average guy speculating... He told me last year (during all the injuries) that he fully believes some of it is Nate's style of coaching regarding how he conducts practices. He said that the practices are too intense (or something like that) mixed with an NBA schedule and that it just wears too hard on the players' bodies, but I can't imagine that being Williams problem considering he is so new to the team.
Ok there is only one thing to do. We must immediately remove all players Patella's so they can no longer be hurt that way.
They should really look at replacing the practice court floor during the offseason. Don't forget all of the stress fractures in feet this team has had too over the last couple of years.
5 games into the season, and we've already lost two players to season ending injuries. This can't just be a coincidence, right?
Really? I pretty much figure that any player who is jumping as high as he does is pretty much counting down the days until an injury happens.
I remember in High School we'd play this school called Salem Academy. We'd get jazzed out of our minds to play them because they had this old gym with a floor that was so springy. While it was hard to dunk on most courts if you got a steal and fast break there you were almost guaranteed to jam one down. It wouldn't surprise me if the Blazers' practice court was just wood on top of a cement pad. I think that is the area that they should look in for some of these injuries.
The Blazers better come out and play with real fire and energy tonight in his honor, or it will be a disgrace to the memory of Elliot Williams' rookie year, and I will excoriate them accordingly, forthcoming suspension be damned.
