<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Fishball:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm a huge fan of KB8 before LeBron brainwashed me</div> I was* a huge fan.... It's ok, they still have basketball in prison.
i still am a huge kobe fan... but back to carlos boozer. there's a lot more to basketball than 10 pts and 10 boards game. which okafor has over boozer. a whole lot more. let's not forget the ALMIGHTY word.. DEFENSE. which college players and hs players don't really play or aren't really that good at these days. okafor has improved so much in his offense, and his defense is better than ever. don't get me wrong.. i'm not an anti-boozer person. i would want him on my team if i had one. he works hard and does what he has to do.. i just don't think he's comparible to emeka okafor who i get to see play 30+ times per season.
Boozer is a lot more than 10 and 10 14 and 11 on the season is more like it. Last 8 games for Boozer.. 20.625 points and 13.75 rebounds With all due respect to Emeka Okafor, saying that he will come in and do more than what Boozer is doing is far fetched and unfair to both players.
ok. that's an 8 game stretch. that's it. those numbers won't last throughout the course of the season. it's an 8 game stretch. if you want to talk about stretches, let's talk about kobe last season. and then make comparisons on his stats then, to everybody elses... in that stretch. i don't care about carlos boozer's stupid stretch. those aren't everyday consistant numbers. if they were, he'd be recognized in starting the all star game putting up better numbers than jermaine o'neal.
14 and 11 is not consistant? Not many cats in the league are doing that, it is still unfair bro, anyw ay you put it. Glad you ignored that part of it. I'll update you... Boozer's last 9 games... 22.6 points and 14.6 rebounds
First, That trade would never happen shaq its still the most dominant center in the NBA, Okafor has not even a game on the NBA yet. And Think that if Okafor goes the league he'll play Like Carloz Boozer and Carlos Doesn't get any close with the diesel.
he most likely will now.. since he hasn't been as hot as he was when he first got pt.. and he gets less minutes. i guess that's a good thing. it all comes down to summertime.. let's see how much hype he still has behind him.. maybe he'll go buckwild in the tourney like caron did? (granted he wasn't a freshman).
Uconn going pro Seems like most of the bb pundits are high on Gordon as a PG. I see him as a combo with some shooting skills. His AST/TO ratio isn't even 2 to 1 so his passing and ball handling need work. If whoever needs one, drafted him as a true point, they might be not so pleasantly suprised. I think in the long term you'll find that he has a tendency to shoot first. Not sold on Okafor as yet. can't make up my mind where he's going to fit. Or if his game will translate to the NBA. They have both him and Boone listed at 6'10" and when I see them together, Okafor is noticeably smaller. Anyway, I had the oportunity to see the Uconn/Pit game last month and Pitt's freshman Taft did a great job shutting him down. Villanueva should stay in school. He needs seasoning. He's raw energy and right now just a bull more than anything. And he may never be any more than that. only time will tell. In a NBA talent hungry draft, both Okafor and Gorgon are sure to go. But I don't think either one of them are a "Lock" to be much but deminishing returns.......Tank
the only reason you're not sold on okafor is because you don't watch college basketball. ben gordon can pass fine, except passing isn't his first option, scoring is.
