Jokic is incredibly talented, and hey if the refs are going to let you get away with things then I guess you keep doing it, I mean the Kanter elbow he did was pretty cheap but there was a lot of “physical” play both ways.
When I first saw Denver sell these, I knew the Blazers were going to win. You just don't tempt fate like that. The universe has a way of punching back when people get too far ahead of themselves. It reminded me of this historical gem: I imagine, pretty soon there will be children in The Republic of Congo wearing donated "Denver: Western Conference Finals" gear. They will probably have to wash them first before wearing from all of the salt water spilled on them by the Denver staff.
Where are the two nugget fans? @NuggetLurker and who else was it? Need an apb on these guys just like superbeard
Nuggets have an exciting young squad, but we were told coming into this series that they or the Bucks are the deepest team in the league. Aside from Barton at times, I didn't really notice. Meanwhile, on Portland's end, we got huge contributions Hood, Collins, Turner, Curry. Hell, even Meyers made his presence known. Great series and Nuggets were impressive, but I think turning that supposed advantage from their favor to ours might be the key to us moving on. It also implies they have a better starting five, and the NBA pundits are quick to mention how scary that core is going to be going forward. I think I'd still go with our core of Dame, CJ, Collins, Nurk over the next 3-4 years.
