Blake is a decent backup. At least he's not a d-leaguer quality guy like we've had in years past. And sure, we could get some more athletic young buck, but I'd rather have a steady backup pg who doesn't make mistakes or try to force shots.

Though I am a bit surprised that no one has signed Kendall Marshall. He's shot almost 40% from 3 over the last 2 years, is a very good assist man.

edit: Marshall is out for remainder of season with torn acl...so that explains it.

Blake isnt great and is turnover prone as well as gun shy but the offense doesnt come unglued when he is in there. The ball actually moves around and as long as he is able to keep the ball moving im fine with playing him the 10m a game he gets.
If CJ proves he can do that, which I dont think he can, then sure play him over blake.

Thing is, I'm not really advocating having CJ play the point on offense. I want Batum to run the offense while CJ is in.

As a wing Nic is very good at running the offense. My ideal team is still the 76-77' Blazers where you have 5 starters that were all very good passers for their position. This team has two starters who are decent passers. So I would never want to get rid of Nic. We need him.

But he still makes too many risky passes. When he is in the game with the starters you don't notice it as much because they are used
to playing together. But when he is in with the 2nd unit........those forced passes become ugly turnovers.

Unless Dame or Steve go down with an injury, or the game is a blow out, Terry will always have one of them in the game.

You think Blake is TO prone? He has an assist to to ratio of 2.66. That's a pretty decent stat. Better than Conley, Lillard and Parker.

Some of you guys need to lay off Blanky.

I like what he brings to the team.
