Did Hillary Clinton Really Restore America’s Reputation in the World?

“Hillary worked to restore America's leadership in the world, after it was badly eroded by eight years of the Bush administration's go-it-alone foreign policy,” her website says. At a Clinton rally in February, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, referring to the Bush administration, said, “They really undermined America's reputation and our position in the world. And Hillary as secretary brought us back.” Writing in Politico, New York Senator Charles Schumer, another Clinton supporter, said Clinton “did much to restore the shattered credibility of the United States, which had lost so much influence following the failed foreign policies of the previous administration.” Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson said she was “key in rebuilding America’s leadership and prestige overseas after the Bush years.”

It has taken almost 50 years, but the Democrats have finally found their inner Nixon. Make no mistake about it: Hillary Clinton is the most Nixonian figure in the post-Watergate period. Indeed, Democrats appear to have reached the type of moral compromise that Nixon waited, unsuccessfully, for Republicans to accept: Some 71% of Democrats want Clinton to run even if indicted.

While Obama could be criticized for embracing Nixon’s imperial presidency model, his personality could not be more different from his predecessor. Clinton however is the whole Nixonian package. On a policy level, her predilection for using executive and military power is even coupled with praise for (and from) Nixon’s secretary of State, Henry Kissinger. However, it is on a personality level that the comparison is so striking and so unnerving. Clinton, like Nixon, is known to be both secretive and evasive. She seems to have a compulsive resistance to simply acknowledging conflicting facts or changes in position. She only makes admissions against interest when there is no alternative to acknowledging the truth in a controversy.

Clinton’s history of changing positions and spinning facts is now legendary. Indeed, a video entitled “Hillary Clinton lying for 13 minutes straight” has become an Internet sensation with millions of viewers. Polls show Clinton with record lows for her perceived honesty and trustworthiness. (In fairness, Trump fares little better). Clinton seems entirely comfortable denying facially true facts. For example, she spent much of a year assuring the public that she was fully cooperating with investigators into her use of an unsecure server for her communications as secretary of State. Indeed, she used her claimed cooperation as the reason that she would not answer more questions. When the State Department Inspector General issued its highly critical report on the scandal, many were shocked to learn that Clinton not only refused to speak at all with investigators but so did her top aides. Where Clinton repeatedly said that her use was allowed by the State Department, the report said that the rule was clearly violated, she never received approval for such a security breach and that a personal server would never have been accepted.

Bill, White House staff lived in fear of Hillary: Ex-Secret Service officer

The allegations from Byrne, a 29-year veteran of the military and federal law enforcement, threaten to derail her campaign days before she is expected to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination.

    ...

The book claims she repeatedly screamed obscenities at her husband, Secret Service personnel and White House staffers — all of whom lived in terror of her next tirade.

Secret Service agents had discussions about the possibility that they would have to protect Bill from his wife’s physical attacks, Byrne writes, and the couple had one “violent encounter” the morning of a key presidential address to the nation.

Meanwhile, a paranoid Hillary Clinton tried to have the Secret Service banned from the White House and once tried to ditch her security detail, Byrne says.

“Hillary Clinton is now poised to become the Democratic nominee for president of the United States, but she simply lacks the integrity and temperament to serve in the office,” he writes.

“From the bottom of my soul I know this to be true. And with Hillary’s latest rise, I realize that her own leadership style — volcanic, impulsive, enabled by sycophants, and disdainful of the rules set for everyone else — hasn’t changed a bit.”

Hillary is arguably the worst candidate the Dems could ever field. She will get trounced by Gumby, if that plastic thing ever ran for POTUS

Funny thing is the Dems don't have anyone else to run.

The socialist? He's a fossil as are his ideas.

Biden? He dropped out of a prior presidential bid because he was busted for plagiarism. This time, his crime is far less than Hiliar's so it's acceptable or something.

Then the list drops to the former mayor of Baltimore.

    Not a deep bench.

Live in a glass house much? All the Libertarians have is a couple of warmed-over republicans. After that, you've got a 35 year old and a possible murderer.

By comparison, the bench of both major parties is infinitely deep.

They're as republican as Sanders is a Democrat.

In other words, they all ran in the Republican or Democrat party, but weren't lifelong members or dedicated to the party.

How Clinton Donor Got on Sensitive Intelligence Board

Newly released State Department emails help reveal how a major Clinton Foundation donor was placed on a sensitive government intelligence advisory board even though he had no obvious experience in the field, a decision that appeared to baffle the department’s professional staff.

The emails further reveal how, after inquiries from ABC News, the Clinton staff sought to “protect the name” of the Secretary, “stall” the ABC News reporter and ultimately accept the resignation of the donor just two days later.

Copies of dozens of internal emails were provided to ABC News by the conservative political group Citizens United, which obtained them under the Freedom of Information Act after more the two years of litigation with the government.

A prolific fundraiser for Democratic candidates and contributor to the Clinton Foundation, who later traveled with Bill Clinton on a trip to Africa, Rajiv K. Fernando’s only known qualification for a seat on the International Security Advisory Board (ISAB) was his technological know-how. The Chicago securities trader, who specialized in electronic investing, sat alongside an august collection of nuclear scientists, former cabinet secretaries and members of Congress to advise Hillary Clinton on the use of tactical nuclear weapons and on other crucial arms control issues.

There are going to be 6 different movies released about Hillary between now and the election. I can't wait to read your reviews on all of them.

Usually books and movies by partisan hacks are of dubious intent. I certainly take what Ann Coulter writes with a grain of salt.

That said, some of the claims are worthy of further scrutiny. For sure, at least one of the movies is going to bring up speech compensation, campaign donations, and Clinton Foundation donations in return for favors while Hiliar was Secy of State.

In fact, ABC News, which is left leaning, partly validates these accusations in the article above.
