If that is the case they may need to down grade N.O. (Holiday, Davis, Rondo) Probably Utah as well.

If Melo came out and told NY he would go to any top 8 team in the West or top 4 team in the East, because he wanted to win a title, then I would be optimistic that he would be a net positive--at least for a few years. So far I haven't heard that, which makes me believe he might not be as positive a factor if he did end up in Portland. To be fair, it appears that nobody really knows what Carmelo wants right now. Everyone is just making assumptions.

May not always be best at putting rosters together... but having played the game professionally, CJ sure as hell us a lot more credibility than a clown like you

Because you know me and my background? Lillard plays the game, and he recomended Leonard as our pick.

Settle down Gronk. Michael Jordan and Isaiah Thomas played the game professionally too, but I'd much rather have guys like Neil Olshey and Daryl Morey assembling a roster.

You don't have to have been an NBA player to understand how NBA offenses work.

    You watch your mouth!!!!

Actually they are. The stars anyhow. LBJ gets bosch to join him and wade? a couple rings.
Paul Pierce gets garnett and allen to join him? A ring.

When the players join together it usually forms a super team that dominates and is a favorite to win it all.

CJ is a pretty smart guy and I doubt you would argue that. So WHy would you argue that he is wrong when he sees sooo much more NBa play than you and knows the players better than you?

Leonard was a solid pick at that spot at that time and most GMs probably would have done the same.

Cause CJ, unlike the others mentioned, gives zero fucks about defense.

Quote please. Did you interview him?
Was he caught on tape stating he could care less about defense?
    Come on man....

44 wins is a pretty reasonable number. Unfortunately our team didn't improve this summer, but they should be better than last year's record thanks to Nurkic. Ceiling is probably 48-50 wins.

He's been caught on tape playing like he gives zero fucks. His stats say he gives zero fucks too.

Sure you can respond, didn't mean to imply otherwise. To clarify, my personal opinion is that calling him "a clown" is simply making it more personal than using terms like "sniffing jock" and "fanboy", which seemed intended to indicate disdain for your general elevation of athletes' opinion over those of laymen, rather than disdain for you personally. That was all I meant with the "settle down" comment--but since I'm not a mod or any kind of authority, you are of course absolutely free to ignore my suggestion.

As to whose opinion I trust, I like to base my evaluation of opinions on the logic used to compose them rather than simply on the source. If a non-player's opinion seems more logical and well-reasoned than a player's opinion, then the fact that what seemed silly came from a pro-hooper would be irrelevant to me.

    But to each their own.

Sigh....Just because one is unable to do something better than most, doesn't mean they don't want to and don't try....

    geez....

I honestly think you look forward to the times when you can degrade a Blazers player some how some way, relevant or not.

Your posts say you give zero fucks about being rational
Your posts say you give zero fucks about positivity.
Your posts say you give zero fucks about anything other than bitching and complaining and degrading players.

That's what your posts say and most here would agree.

However I know this to not be true...
I would think you would be smart enough to understand that not everything is as it seems when watching it...

Bron did a good job. He made history and won a title with the team he put together.

    Hilarious.
Some of you need to work on your posts.
Pretty damn easy to catch you using 1 definition for Portland, and then completely ignoring that same definition for another team.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Have those ESPN computers ever played basketball at a high level? I didn't think so. Computers never understand heart, stick-to-it-iveness or grit.

Hopefully the Blazers have those. I don't understand those things either.

CJ is an incredible athlete, and has good quickness. He could give more effort on defense.

If, as a fan, you just don't want to belive that, that's great.

Blazers won 41 times last season. Nurk's addition will AT LEAST add 9 games to that total. Breakout seasons of Vonleh and Hark will add another 3 or so games.

We'll win 53 games at least next season. Mark it down.
