The last time Mike D'Antoni led a team to 45 wins was 9 years ago when he had Steve Nash as his PG.

In fact the only place D'Antoni has a winning record as an NBA head coach is PHO. He had a losing record with DEN, NYK and LAL.

Still his teams, with their shock and awe offense, tend to overachieve during the regular season when teams don't have time to game plan for their unique style of play. Then, they underachieve in the playoffs when teams slow things down and expose their poor defense.

HOU's defense will be so bad this year, even with their explosive, gimmicky offense, I doubt if they win 45 games. But even if they do, it won't matter, they'll still lose in the 1st round.

BRO, that's too may numbers and symbols for me to read and comprehend. Do you have a shorter version?

If you're not interested in the history lesson, this sentence kind of sums it up:

"By contrast, Harden was an inefficient chucker on a 41 win team. His WS of 13.3 and WS/48 would have been among the lowest to ever win an MVP award."

And, if you don't know what WS (Win Shares) and WS/48 (Win Shares per 48 minutes) mean, just note that they don't give the MVP award to losers. They give it to winners - typically the best player on the best team, not the best player on team that underachieves and shits the bed all season long.

Thats interesting that 50 win is the fewest ever for an MVP.

Not fewest ever just fewest in the last 30 years. Kareem won the MVP in 1975-76, when the Lakers only won 40 games, but times were different then. That season, there was only one team in the West that won more than 43 games and Kareem averaged 27.7 ppg, 16.9 rpg. 5.0 apg and 4.1 bpg.

He was second in the league in scoring, led the league in rebounding and blocks and led the league in almost all advanced stats (PER, Offensive Win Shares, Defensive Win Shares, Total Win Shares, Win Shares per 48, Box Plus/Minus, Value over Replacement Player). He was both the best offensive player and the best defensive player in the league that year.

I normally agree, but this guy is obviously trolling. I'm going to miss the old HCP.

Never said he was the biggest problem, but the signing was the first sign of the collapse.

He is killing for me for sure. Westbrook is just a bit ahead of him in fantasy points per game, but he went 1st and I got the beard with the 4th pick.

Not at all. Turner has been fine. Without him this season, we'd be worse.
