Change in Team Outlook: +12.7 ppg, +2.4 rpg, and +2.7 apg. Incoming Players Daequan Cook 6-5 SG from Ohio State 8.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 0.6 apg in 19.0 minutes Alonzo Mourning 6-10 C from Georgetown 5.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.3 apg in 15.6 minutes Ricky Davis 6-7 SG from Iowa 14.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.6 apg in 36.0 minutes Jason Williams 6-1 PG from Florida 8.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 5.4 apg in 31.4 minutes Outgoing Players Darrell Armstrong 6-1 PG from Fayetteville State 2.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.3 apg in 11.8 minutes Jamaal Magloire 6-11 C from Kentucky 2.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 13.0 minutes Vince Carter 6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina 21.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.5 apg in 37.3 minutes Miami Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -12.7 ppg, -2.4 rpg, and -2.7 apg. Incoming Players Darrell Armstrong 6-1 PG from Fayetteville State 2.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.3 apg in 11.8 minutes Jamaal Magloire 6-11 C from Kentucky 2.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 13.0 minutes Vince Carter 6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina 21.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.5 apg in 37.3 minutes Outgoing Players Daequan Cook 6-5 SG from Ohio State 8.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 0.6 apg in 19.0 minutes Alonzo Mourning 6-10 C from Georgetown 5.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.3 apg in 15.6 minutes Ricky Davis 6-7 SG from Iowa 14.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.6 apg in 36.0 minutes Jason Williams 6-1 PG from Florida 8.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 5.4 apg in 31.4 minutes Why? Daquen Cook is a talented young player...he could be a starter down the road but if not with the expiring contracts of Jason Williams, Ricky Davis and Alonzo Mourning we can make a helpful signing on the Free Agent market this offseason. Why do the Heat do this? Well the problem with the Heat is while they could and still might want to let the contracts expire and and look on the free agent market they have Shaq. He makes 20 mil a year for the next few years and to throw this year away when he will prolly be worse next year is foolish. Vince would give them a guy who could go for 20 plus next to Wade and along with Shaq account for 60+ a night in three players. Darrell Armstrong could contribute solid defense and help offensively with his jumper. Jamal Magliore has shown no decline but is not getting enought minutes. On the Heat he could spell Shaq in the way Alonzo did and would keep Shaq from always worrying about foul trouble. *Heat would have to throw in a first as well. To quote Turtle form Entourage "Vince is a Star"
I've never understood how some people care more about a player than the team. Ridiculous. It's a team sport, not a one man show.
Another Possibilty Change in Team Outlook: -0.8 ppg, -2.0 rpg, and +0.8 apg. Incoming Players Malik Allen 6-10 PF from Villanova 5.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 17.3 minutes Vince Carter 6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina 21.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.5 apg in 37.3 minutes Outgoing Players Thabo Sefolosha 6-5 SG from Switzerland (Foreign) 2.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.1 apg in 12.1 minutes Ben Gordon 6-3 SG / PG from Connecticut 17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.8 apg in 35.7 minutes Joe Smith 6-10 PF from Maryland 7.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 18.0 minutes New Jersey Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: +0.8 ppg, +2.0 rpg, and -0.8 apg. Incoming Players Thabo Sefolosha 6-5 SG from Switzerland (Foreign) 2.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.1 apg in 12.1 minutes Ben Gordon 6-3 SG / PG from Connecticut 17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.8 apg in 35.7 minutes Joe Smith 6-10 PF from Maryland 7.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 18.0 minutes Outgoing Players Malik Allen 6-10 PF from Villanova 5.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 17.3 minutes Vince Carter 6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina 21.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.5 apg in 37.3 minutes Bring in Ben Gordon as our new starting SG, better compliment to RJ as he is a better pure shooter than Vince. Thabo Selfosha becomes our new 6th man as I think he is a better swingman already than Wright (Chicago just to deep to show it) and Joe Smith replaces Allen in the mix at PF. For Chicago. Vince gives them a scorer who is more consistent than anyone on there roster, a player to mentor Loul Deng and honestly someone to jumpstart a team that has been even more disappointing than us so far. The earlier trade talk with Kobe killed this team and with Kobe unlikely to move and an expensive Center in Wallace needing help to take them to the next level Vince may just be the answer.
Cleveland Change in Team Outlook: +2.4 ppg, +1.4 rpg, and +0.7 apg. Incoming Players Vince Carter 6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina 21.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.5 apg in 37.3 minutes Outgoing Players Shannon Brown 6-3 SG from Michigan State 8.4 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 18.1 minutes Larry Hughes 6-5 SG from St. Louis 10.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.2 apg in 27.3 minutes 2008 first round pick New Jersey Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -2.4 ppg, -1.4 rpg, and -0.7 apg. Incoming Players Shannon Brown 6-3 SG from Michigan State 8.4 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 18.1 minutes Larry Hughes 6-5 SG from St. Louis 10.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.2 apg in 27.3 minutes 2008 first round picked Outgoing Players Vince Carter 6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina 21.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4.5 apg in 37.3 minutes Why for Cleveland...well Larry Hughes does get hurt and Shannon Brown is still just potentially good where as Vince is very good now and Lebron needs help also having another star to market with Lebron would further help there franchise Larry Hughes is a decent player and hopefully Kidd would make him better. Shannon Brown is better than Antione Wright and fits into our teams style of play. The first rounder would help to better prepare for our future in Brooklyn either to combine with ours and trade up or to select two young players for next season.
Just a few ideas... 1)Chicago 2)Miami 3)Cleveland I'd do any of the three. although I'm content to not trade them and make a minor trade of Magliore to get bench depth; but only if that meant we'd get a new coach who would better utilize these players.
Nets trade: Vince Carter, Malik Allen Magic trade: Carlos Arroyo, Keith Bogans, J J Redick, Pat Garrity

This is funny. I wanna see a trade happen involving the Nets. Something relatively important. All this trade talk is getting me excited, and if no trade ends up happening, I'll be pissed.

He's the Magic's best perimeter defender and a good shooter to boot! I'd be glad to have him on the Nets, but that trade just doesn't look good in my opinion.
WHAT ABOOUT THIS!!!! VC to the Clips for Maggette and Tim Thomas???? We get maggette, a pure scoring slasher who doesnt need the ball to be effective and can run and tim thomas, a shooter who can spread the floor with Boki
