Riverman that is how Imagine it will be this year, with 6-7 guys in double digits with everyone contributing something. We are going to be vastly underestimated, we already are, we need to use that to our advantage on the court.
As do I. Ebott its that kind of thought process that has kept the Blazers in mediocricty...Blazers need to think like winners to be winners. They need to have confidence in themselves and each other. They need to stop listening to naysayers like you and letting doubt creep into their minds....basketball is as not just a physical game, its a psychological one too.
This is how I believe we'll make it to 37 wins (I've posted this before in here; it's optimistic but I really think we'll get there)
I think playoff experience is a school of it's own for young players like we have and probably more beneficial in the long run to the team than a few draft spots with no playoff experience
If we make the playoffs, that means our young players are that good. With the added experience that's a decent substitute for a lottery pick.
None of that matters if they don't have the talent. The best way to get talent is via high draft picks. The best way to get high draft picks is by having a bad record.
This roster has zero chance in the west of making the next playoffs. The only way to be an 8th seed would be to pull off a trade for a good player for cheap, such as Joe Johnson for a young Blazer with potential. Due to Johnson’s age and expiring contract, he would be a short term fix, and probably not what Mr. Allen has planned for this roster. I doubt a trade that would get the Blazers into the playoffs will happen this season. Maybe next off-season when some of our project players hopefully build more trade value. This roster is at least three seasons away from making the playoffs in the west.
Iso-Joe? Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllll nah! Not now... not ever.
This is soo not true... The best way to get talent is to trade your whole team for one HOF. Its already been posted the lottery picks of past years and how many many many of them were busts or role players at best. The draft is as much luckl as it is having a player take that next step to become an allstar. Ive asked it a couple times and no one has been able to give a valid answer. What improvement does this team make if we end up in the lottery when we already have 8 lottery picks on the team???????? Some one. Anyone who thinks we should be in the lottery, please debate. Ive been busy, but I have also stopped posting as much because of all this bs about being a cellar dweller and us not going anywhere unless we hit the lottery. AGAIN WE ALREADY HAVE 8 LOTTERY PICKS!!! what the hell is one more that is 4 years younger than our core gonna do for us? Nothing is the answer...If we make the lottery that means we just lost out on at least one of our 8 lotteries already on the team, because they didn't make that next stop. Odds are just as great, we make the lottery and the person we pick doesn't make that next step as well.. Aiming for the lottery for this team is about as foolish as not accepting an advanced class for overachieving students. Okay, Im reading at a 6 grade level, but lets still just stick with 2nd grade books.... because there is no hope to actually jump ahead. We are already ahead of the game as far as being a lottery team. This team is now built as if we were in the lottery the last 3 of 5 seasons based on our current roster. AGAIN. what the hell does one more lottery pick do for this team? Nothing.... Guys need to start thinking outside the box, have a bit of optimism and look at the big picture, not just the last two seasons records vs our predicted record by the masses. Anyone who says we should tank is just wrong. Period.
I see what ESPN is doing. Even if we got 82-0 we still technically won 31 games. Price is right rules.
