Hmm pretty generous rankings when I look at it that way. I think those players are all below the league average for end of the bench. Freeland was ranked much higher than he should've been. Claver is a guy that provides value in some areas on the court. Freeland has been horrific.

I expect our second unit to rank well, much higher than league 6-10 man average. That would be 151-300th place.

    379 Will Barton 374/30= 12.5th man should be 379 Will Barton 379/30= 12.6th man
    and
    370 Earl Watson 370/30= 12.3rd man

No surprises in our 3rd team. There will be a couple of surprising rankings in our 2nd team--Leonard, Robinson, Wright, McCollum, and Williams.

15th man Freeland (441) is ranked as a 14.7th man
14th man Claver (422) is ranked as a 14.1st man
13th man Crabbe (412) is ranked as a 13.7th man
12th man Barton (379) is ranked as a 12.6th man
11th man Watson (370) is ranked as a 12.3rd man

thanks, jlprk for catching the error, it's fixed and Watson has been added.

The overall conclusion here is that ESPN thinks our 3rd stringers are just that, 3rd stringers. We'll get more details in the next couple of weeks, but so far none of the remaining blazers are 300 or worse. This means that our players 6 through 10 are better than 10th men.

I expect our bench players to be ranked in this order:

    Mo Williams
    CJ McCollum
    Dorrell Wright
    Meyers Leonard
    Thomas Robinson

I disagree; I think Dorrell Wright will come in ahead of CJ.

The ESPN Rankings have gone down to 276 and no new Blazers have apperared.

Here's a better way to look at the data:
    Blazer's 15th man: 14.7, Average 15th man: 14.5 >>>>> Net: -0.2
    Blazer's 14th man: 14.1, Average 14th man: 13.5 >>>>> Net: -0.6
    Blazer's 13th man: 13.7, Average 13th man: 12.5 >>>>> Net: -1.2
    Blazer's 12th man: 12.6, Average 12th man: 11.5 >>>>> Net: -1.1
    Blazer's 11th man: 12.3, Average 11th man: 10.5 >>>>> Net: -1.8

So, ESPN actually thinks our 3rd stringers are an average of 1.0 positions worse than average. For our 10th man to be a league average 10th man in ESPNs eyes, he must not show up in the rankings until 9.5*30=285. We're already below that, so things are starting out looking better for our 2nd string than our 3rd. Fortunately, the 2nd string is much more important than the 3rd string.

note: I know that the average 14th man is actually 13.55 and the same applies to all the others, I'm trying to keep it simple especially since the error bars on these data are humongous.

Down to 268 and none of our rotation players yet. Not bad.

    Update ("Down" to 254):

    Blazer's 10th man: 8.5, Average 10th man: 9.5 >>>>> Net: +1.0
    -------
    Blazer's 11th man: 12.3, Average 11th man: 10.5 >>>>> Net: -1.8
    Blazer's 12th man: 12.6, Average 12th man: 11.5 >>>>> Net: -1.1
    Blazer's 13th man: 13.7, Average 13th man: 12.5 >>>>> Net: -1.2
    Blazer's 14th man: 14.1, Average 14th man: 13.5 >>>>> Net: -0.6
    Blazer's 15th man: 14.7, Average 15th man: 14.5 >>>>> Net: -0.2

Already, our bench is looking better than their peers. ESPN slates our 10th man as better than the average 10th man, and our 9th man better than the average 9th man (whose not been chosen yet.)

10th man Leonard (255) is ranked as 8.5th man
    -------
11th man Watson (370) is ranked as a 12.3rd man
12th man Barton (379) is ranked as a 12.6th man
13th man Crabbe (412) is ranked as a 13.7th man
14th man Claver (422) is ranked as a 14.1st man
15th man Freeland (441) is ranked as a 14.7th man

It looks like they have a higher opinion of TRob than you and Eastoff do (or maybe they have a lower opinion of Leonard).

Sometimes, I love when I'm wrong! I didn't know much about TRob, but I didn't think he got as much exposure as Meylee
