It's ridiculous that one of Finland or Georgia will make it through to the Semis. Meanwhile Germany vs. Slovenia, which probably should have been the final, will be the other quarterfinal.

Man Doncic really is going to be an all new kind of problem this year.

I think you’re right about Germany however I’m eyeballing that other side of the bracket because I’m not ruling Greece out.

Slovenia Germany is also going to be a great matchup. I think the winner is probably one of those two.

I'm still not convinced. He's shot incredibly inefficiently so far this tournament (except for this game). However, he is less likely to be gassed at the end of games without the extra poundage (although he scored 22 of his points in this game in the first quarter, and Italy stormed all the way back to 77-78 in the last quarter).

Where does Georgia play their home games. Do they share State Farm arena with the Hawks?

Do you think his shot selection would be better when playing along NBA players who can actually finish? So he doesn’t feel the need to take bad shots…..more than normal?

So every NBA player in this tournament should be inefficient, by this reasoning?

I never look at efficiently, never have. I’ll take an INefficient 37 point near triple double in a W over everything to be honest. I was just wondering if he was inefficient because of not having trust with this teams roster? Was he doing too much because he felt he needed to? Would he make the same decisions on a team that has LeBron as another option?

Would you compare Deni’s efficiency for this tournament to that of Luka’s? Would love to see where his stands? I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about how Deni has looked, but has he been efficient?

Iverson must be your fave player ever.

No, he's inefficient because he's missing way more shots than he makes. You're suggesting an explanation for why he's shooting so much. If you're missing that much then there was bound to be a better option, so it's either bad coaching or selfishness.

Avdija's not as inefficient, but probably the gap between his talent and his teammates is not as great as with Doncic.

I have not looked at his roster, whatever country he plays for…..but I’m quite sure his coach would rather him shoot to much than pass to ANY other player out there. I can GUARANTEE that FAMS! Just like when Dame was with us and having an off night shooting….I’ll take a bad Dame shot over everybody else all night long son.

That's not how Euro coaches roll. They will chew you out for not passing if you're Michael Fucking Jordan. And probably insult your mother, too.

    Deni's had 12 FTs to Giannis's 2. (Meanwhile Doncic shot 16.)

Deni only made 5 fgs and 4 of them were 3s. Not much penetration today I guess.

    Greece wins 84-79. Giannis with 37 (+7), Deni with 22 (-1)
