Evan Turner makes our two best players significantly worse, why do we still play him?

Send Olshey to auctioneer school so he can fast talk someone into taking a package of Turn[ov]er and Nicholson/Verajo's "expiring" contracts for a 2nd round pick. Hell, include Olshey in the package. It's the least he can do for us after signing ET.

 

Buy Noah out, then I only have to look at one DNP player that makes 10 mil a year.

 

The only thing you can do is buy out the contract like Greg Monroe. That's it. There is no sucker on the hook for this one. You could threaten a GM with sucking him down into the bottom of the Marianas Trench and he won't touch it. I still think if we package up Harkless or Leonard we may be able to get someone to take them. But at some point Neil will probably realize that these contracts are going to end up costing him his job.

Yes, and it proves nothing in regards to Turner making the team worse, thus the question I proposed.

 

First, the op was not “turner makes the team worse”, it was “he makes Dame and cj worse”.

Second, there are stats posted right at the bottom of the op showing you direct and glaring numbers, as to how he makes them worse. He is on the court with at least one of the two (he fricken starts with them...ugh) almost all the time, so In making Jose two worse, he is making the team worse.

Why are you trolling? You are too new here to be doing that.

First I was responding to the post that said "He makes us a much worse team when he's on the court."

Second, those stats didn't show that we are a worse team with Turner or that he makes Lillard and McCollum significantly worse.

Third, since when is asking a question trolling? I have been a fan of the Blazers since inception and nobody should ever be limited by what they can post according to their length of participation.

Moe absolutely deserved to have been benched earlier in this season. He also now absolutely deserves to be starting again over Turner. Turner is best off the bench.

 

Then, what did those numbers tell? If you could explain your position a little better, maybe you would get a better response.

 

Those numbers only includes 3 players and floor time stats are with 5 players. Laying blame on one of 5 players isn't realistic. 82games.com shows one of our best lineups to include Turner. as a starter.

 

I thought he'd do better against his old team, but today vs. the Celtics, he was our 2nd-worst player.
