BNM, can't you stop arguing with Denny and come over to the trade thread and explain why Milsap would be a good deal. I think some guys can play well when they are old (I played competitive rec soccer into my early 50's) so I am intrigued by him. I remember you had some posts earlier on why we should go after him.
I really thought Turner played well last night. Maybe it was Cleveland (he seems to have a bit of beef with LeBron) but I thought he was really distributing well. And he comes up with some great defensive plays (like just ripping the ball away from people on drives) that we can always use. Yes, he's still a bit of a brickmeister (and his bricks tend to be off the front of the rim, leading to fastbreak points by the other team) but if he could turn it around we could really use that.
He needs to stop with the top of key and wing threes. He doesn't have the shooting form for such a long shot. Stick to the corners!
He is doing a lot better. I just have one quibble. Crabbe has got himself inspired again and really works hard on getting open going in the direction of the basket. Turner sees him well if he has a good angle. But sometimes Crabbe has his man beat by 3 feet, usually when he is obscured from Crabbe a little and Crabbe is moving on a straight line away from Turner. Once on a backdoor when Turner was out near the sideline and once a dive right down the middle when Turner was at the top of the key. This is a difficult pass because it requires reaching around the player guarding you but I hope Turner and Crabbe can practice this some.
Same with Aminu. And neither of them should shoot more than 2-3 of them per game. Only Dame, CJ, and Crabbe should be allowed to put up 5+...Meyers on those rare nights when he's stroking them.
Hubie sure liked Harkless and Turner. From a coach's standpoint, I can see why. Gotta have players who will do the non-glamorous work.
