Lol exactly. These Evan Turner threads are all lol. Some Blazers fans are ridiculous. For example, this thread was started before the season even began. If some of you were in charge of the team we'd be making trades after every game. Get a grip.
I defended the Evan Turner signing at the time, and for a long time after. The most important thing now, is that he stops making me look stupid.
Good to see ET phone home at last....he's going to be a fan favorite by summer. Most impressive stat of his best game.....zero turnovers!
Right, I think it was fools gold, because in that game, he was just hitting contested mid-range jumpers...Turner is a poor shooter, and doesn't even seem to be good at getting to the rim, so his game is contested mid-range jumpers, which is the least efficient shot.
It's like Evan Turner has never played an NBA game before this season. We have no data to go off of except for the last 16 games. Based on those 16 games he's horrible!!!11!1!!!1
Well, your looking is not giving you accurate information about reality. Only 17% of his shots are at the rim, and he's only been hitting those at a pathetic 52%.
Yeah, but it's also like, his per 36 numbers that year are not a big deviation from his career average in any statistical category.!!!!!!1!!!!11!!
What? The Trail Blazers had to OVERPAY to get a free agent to sign in Portland? Man. That never happens.
In the last five games, Turner is averaging 12.6 ppg, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 1 steal and 0.8 turnovers while shooting 49% from the field and 43% from three in 26.4 minutes per game. And that's not counting Brooklyn, where he really turned things around and dropped 19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, zero turnovers and shot 66% from the field in that game.
Yes--the amount of money he was offered based on the belief that he could do here what he did there. If he is able to consistently produce here like he did in Boston, then he will be earning the "way more money", and his salary will be a non-issue.
