Of the radio host's tweet? To interact with their listeners and generate interesting radio content. Of the respondents' tweets? To provide source material for interesting radio content. Neither is necessarily "obviously looking for attention", which is all I've been saying from the beginning.

Jake could very well be thinking that this could be a great event for the city (in which he is trying to get back to) and that may be the only reason he did it. Exactly. Drawing attention to his show and himself. PPP seems to think it is a negative connotation. Radio jocks do all sorts of things for attention. Some good and some not so good and the reason they are often referred to as shock jocks. They enjoy controversy and do it to garner interest/ attention.

I don't listen to radio much anymore but I use to hear them say all sorts of things to draw attention to their show. You call it interest and I call it attention.
