Let's just do a reality check here....last night in big minutes Crabbe had 12 pts..3 boards and 3 assists....both Aminu and Turner produced way more in our game.....and Crabbe makes Turner money...Aminu makes Pat Connaughton like money and even Pat had a better line than Crabbe
This was probably posted somewhere else already, but is does have some Turner stuff. Also has some stuff on best three man combos: "The biggest takeaway is how stingy the Blazers' defense has been when Ed Davis shares the floor with pretty much anyone and how much the Lillard-McCollum-Turner group has underwhelmed after looking like a strength for parts of 2016-17." http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...s_trail_blazers_have_an_evan.html#incart_2box
I see him get blown by and get out of position on defense way too much. From what I've seen, he's overrated on that end.
well......we disagree. I think he's a smart defender ...what I don't like is his shot form and his tendency to step out of bounds....sort of like Chief...but both are huge reasons our defense has been top shelf.....and for the record....I don't want to argue the point
It's irritating that people keep talking about trading our hardest working player. Not sure if we'd want any of their picks since they will be ranked so high but which one is Davis worth to them and us?? 2018 Los Angeles Lakers (If pick falls between spots 2-5) Boston Celtics’ own pick 2019 Philadelphia 76ers or Sacramento Kings (If the Lakers’ 2018 pick falls outside 2-5, Boston will instead have a choice between Philadelphia’s top-1 protected pick or Sacramento’s top-1 protected pick in 2019) Memphis Grizzlies (If pick falls outside top-8) Los Angeles Clippers (If pick falls outside top-14) Boston Celtics’ own pick 2020 Memphis Grizzlies (If pick has not yet been conveyed and falls outside top-6) Los Angeles Clippers (If pick has not yet been conveyed and falls outside top-14) Boston Celtics’ own pick 2021 Memphis Grizzlies (If pick has not yet been conveyed. Pick would be unprotected) Boston Celtics’ own pick
He definitely has stretches of good defense but it's inconsistent in my opinion. His focus wanes too much at times, usually when his offense is struggling. I'm not arguing that he's a smart defender or your point at all really, just wish he'd be more consistent with it.
He's our hardest working player, but at a position we have a logjam at, and he's expiring and will probably get a bigger contract offer than people expect. It makes sense to capitalize on his value. I think that Boston's 2018 pick is a good deal for both teams. BOS doesn't have to trade back any salary because they have an Injury Exception for Gordon Hayward with which they can take in an expiring contract that's worth up to $8M via trade. With Boston's pick, we could add someone like Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Bell, or Malcolm Brogdon. Either get Bostons 2018 pick or the better pick of MEM's/LAC's in 2019.
I think you need to stop with that. What you should say is, "we could roll the dice and try to find someone in the range of a Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Bell, or Malcolm Brogdon. Dropping those names doesn't mean we'll actually find someone of that caliber.
He's going to be a free agent this summer, we we will probably lose him for nothing. That would be my reason why. Right now we're looking at the following free agents this summer: Nurk Vonleh Davis Napier Patty C Obviously we have to re-sign Nurk. Outside of that, who do we bring back and for how much? Vonleh is only 22 years old. He's going to get offers. Davis is 28. I'm sure some contender is going to throw him a decent contract. Napier has been putting up really decent numbers as a backup. I think he'll get interest. Connaughton is..... I don't know. So if I'm Neil, and I have Collins/Swanigan locked up for another three years, I'm looking to deal Davis and maybe Vonleh before the deadline because I really don't want to have to overpay either one of them to keep them in a Blazer uniform.
That cat has carved out a spot. He's gonna stick in this league mark my words. I love him off the bench. Plays hard D. Knockdown shooter. Can finish at the rack. Good ballhandler. HUSTLES. GREAT BBIQ Catches alley-oops. We should keep Pat. I think he'll be cheap.
Agree 100%. If he is happy with the 3-7 mill range for coming off the bench as a 3 and D guy, he is a keeper.
