After talking with some friends the other night I was informed that the Vikings might let Kleinsasser go.
I personally hope this is not true, I like how he plays and blocks.
He seems like player that is there to play the game because he loves it. He also plays with the pain, like the old Purple People eaters (and he does look pretty gruff). Plus it is just fun to yell "Every Kitchen needs a good Kleinsasser" that is if you are as simple minded as I am.

Either way, I was just wondering if anyone else had heard this rumor or if anyone even cares about good ol'#40.

Kleinsasser used to be a fullback, right? Then they converted him to tight end?

I've always liked his hard nosed look and style. Why the position switch? Did they have a better fullback or just need a tight end?

I didn't think he was too bad, but maybe he is a casualty of collapse of the second half of the season. You know...someone has to get blamed for everything like that....guilty or not.

Looking at that picture that Smerdykov has of Kleinsasser, I have to wonder why Jack Black refuses to film during football season lol.

Actually the big K. has been T.E. the last two seasons. And he seems to always be there in the clutch either getting yards or allowing yards.

Granted, he was the reason the Cardinals got that onside Kick before they drove and won the last game.

K-sasser has always been a tight end, but he is such a good blocker that they use him at fullback every so often. He has played much more TE this year. Word is if he leaves MN he will goto Dallas because coach P loves him. Tice loves him too though and I'm sure the vikes will make a strong effort to sign him. Heck, last year he got their franchise tag!

Actually, under Denny Green he was primarily a full back. They put him there because he's a beast and can clear a huge path in front of him. Tice switched him to TE because he also has good hands.

It would be horrible to lose him...he's the best all around TE in the league. With all respects to Gonzalaz and Sharpe, they are future hall of famers but are definitely pure receiving TE's. K'sasser doubles as an extra offensive lineman as well as a versatile TE.

Yes, but my point is that when drafted out of college, he was a TE. He did play FB under Denny, but wasn't that because he was hurt and all he could really do was bowl people over? Can't remember all the circumstances... but he made his name in college as a TE.
