The thing is - when the enforcer is on the other team he's a thug or a goon. When he's on your team he's just a hard hitting good guy! I agree that the Blazers need an enforcer.

    Nobody needs a Draymond.

I'm willing to bet that all of you criticizing Draymond would still happily take him with a 2nd round pick in 2010 knowing what we know now.

I get your premise. But Green and Buck Williams are two different men. I have nothing but respect for Buck Williams. I have zero respect for Green. He is a P.O.S. If the Blazers traded for him I would leave as a fan until he was gone from the team. ANY man who punches his own teammate, is an unstable individual.

Honestly? I'm a turn the other cheek guy about most things. I seriously hope the guy retires. He is a bad person.

These aren't hard fouls, or retaliations though....these are just cheap shot assaults.

Green isn't an enforcer, he's a dirty cheap shot artist. If the Blazers had drafted him, and he behaved the way he has during his career, I would be ashamed of having him on my team. Green is a shit stain on the NBA. My experience with other Blazers fans makes me confident the vast majority of us would detest his antics.

Dreymond is a cheapshot artist, and needs a long suspension. He's not an enforcer, he's a punk ass bitch thug.

Fuck the NBA for enabling him to get to this point.

I would be happy to kick people in the balls for $25M/year.

Blazers, you have my number, give me a call.

I agree that every team needs an "enforcer " type player but Green is not that he is just a thug and I will admit when Dame was here and there was a extreme outside shot he might leave Golden St I was on that bandwagon of he might be worth it. However not anymore and he can go BEEP himself and I hope after he comes back he screws up again and maybe gets a year long ban or something.

Yes please. I love his game. Tough on the boards, sets hard screens and can hit the open jumper.

The difference between an enforcer and guys like Draymond and Laimbeer is that an enforcer doesn't instigate or initiate. Enforcers respond. They protect their teammates. Most of the good ones are actually pretty quiet.
Portland has had some good one's over the years, too. Pryzbilla, Brian Grant, Lucas, Kersey. I thought Zack Collins was taking on that role before he left. They don't have to be the biggest, they just have to be big enough to be taken seriously. Nobody is afraid of the Chihuahua yapping at your heels. But, have a guy in your lineup like Steven Long and even the biggest dirt balls like Draymond and Cousins will think twice before starting anything.

As a matter of fact my uncle who lives in Petaluma and is an avid Warrior fan absolutely hates Green. Has wanted him off the team for years. I can believe that a number of fans in Portland would also want him gone.

He might be nearing the back half of his career, but I believe the perfect enforcer for the Blazers would be John Wick.

Doubt Wick would want to play in the NBA. Because the enforcing of the "code of conducting business" rules are too corrupt.

He is the Bill Laimbeer of this era. Cheap shot artist. Can't square off with anyone, just a punk ass bitch. As with Laimbeer, nobody would shed a tear if he was hit by a bus crossing the street.

Green is every bit the intentional wrecking ball Bruce Bowen was, only with offensive skills.
