Evidence that "Atheism" is not a sound belief

My explanation is they never truly had it in the first place. i.e. the parable of the sower and the seed.

 

A drop in church attendance does not mean people are renouncing Christianity or converting to atheism. And there is also a world outside of the United States, Christianity is currently growing explosively in Africa and many parts of Asia (particularly China)

 

Perusing this thread, and it appears that many people don't understand the difference between the words "refuted" and "debated".

No surprise, though.

 

Who cares? Yeah, Western Europe maybe. Are they worth more than people in Africa and Asia? Maybe in your worldview they are, but I believe God created all men equally. 93% of Americans still believe in God and that number doesn't seem to be on the decrease. Overall, Christianity is on a large growth rate world wide. Atheism will never, ever beat out belief in God.

 

Posting articles from secular sources that were written three years ago aren't going to change the facts. A more recent poll suggested that 93% of Americans believe in God.

 

I don't think it's a competition, so who cares.

 

It's funny that you say that because I was just going to add that it doesn't matter if the whole world stopped believing in God, it doesn't mean He doesn't exist. I just like to show how the Spirit of God is working powerfully in people's lives.

 

It's actually not. Perhaps in certain societies it is but Christianity has a worldwide growth rate of just under 2% every year. And that's Just Christianity, no mention of other religions.

It's not a numbers game, though. It's a matter of the heart, And, only the Lord knows that.

 

I know it's not, he was making a false claim and I was correcting him on it. Like I said above, I don't care if the whole world stops believing in God. I know God and what He's done for me and I will follow Him as long as I live.

 

Well you can think this, and others reading this can think it another way. Like I keep on saying. This thread is the debate and the audience are the jury. Both sides present the evidence and anyone that reads it can make their own opinion on the evidence.
