hmm reading back I can see why some of you would be worried. But Im no junkie. Im still in pretty good shape, I eat very healthily being my girlfriend is a vegetarian, my mind is still as sharp as ever, I read Steven Hawking for fun ferchristsakes!

Its obvious Im just from a different lifestyle thats all. I respect if you cant understand.

    You're weird, I'm worried.

Haha just kidding mate. I don't think anyone is here to judge you, it just seems like some of them don't really get the implications and they're worried. It's something I'd consider doing schoolies, I'm just too worried I'd get stuck on a bad trip. Pills are something i think I'm close to try, same with coke - but yeh, undecided really - i don't want to waste my money

But shrooms, argh I've heard it expands your brain and it's just fucked up. I don't know really, I find it funny how much my perception has changed from a year ago.

"whooo I feel I have a inflated ego and my face is numb.... whoooo". Please. I feel better after a few beers, you wanna know why? Because I haven't blown 2 days work worth of cash to feel like I have listened to a self help tape 40000 times.

I was offered Weed once, but I passed. I don't know why people always say, "It's hard to say no". It's easy to say no, I say no all the time...

I understand that, but no one really knows the exact cause of addiction. Therefore, people need to understand the dangers that come with drug and alcohol use. I'm just worried that some of our younger readers will read this thread and see it as a green light to experiment. That bothers me.

Life is all about choices that we make...

But, if they are illegal you don't have to make that choice, you don't have to "experiment" with it. Or lets say it would be harder to get them, unless you want to break the law.

I've been offered to smoke weed before (during high school), parties, etc but there is nothing in this world that would make me smoke it. (unless you pay me a million bucks haha)

It's not that I'm scared from it (experienced a war during childhood so a weak drug won't scare me) but if you use your brain and think about it, why would you need to smoke weed when you can live healthy and be happy without it. I don't need some drug to help me enjoy life. So many other good ways to do it. (sports and sex come to mind [IMG] )

Exactly. I guess it's harder for the young guys and gals to do it, since they want to fit in but it's also part of the family education and how much they get told to say no.

^ haha, all I am saying is that there is a percentage chance that iof you consistently use drugs, you are prone to be addicted. A bloody stool is a medical problem

Aaagh yes that is true but being a loser is all in the blood. If your dad was an alcoholic or some sort of addict, you have a higher chance of addiction.

Also look up 'addictive personality'. Different syndrome, similar effects

They should really restrict the sale of alcohol. That drugs much worse than marijuana. Its a little hard to just go to prohibition, but they need to have bigger restrictions.

I think they should restrict the sale of alcohol to abusers.

Depending on the abuse, would result in a different penalty.

I think something along the lines of

Drunk Tank (public drunkeness usually) = 1 year banTaken into hospital for alcohol poisoning= 5 year banDUI/DWI= 10 year ban

They could simply do it using state ID's and drivers licenses. This would mean that everyone would have to be ID'd, and the business would have to be connected to an online network to check the status of the purchaser, but I think it would be for the greater benefit of society. They already use ID's to track alcohol sale at Brewer's games (limit of 2), so I don't see why they cannot apply this technique nationwide.

Obviously these banned users could try to get others to buy it for them, but if you lay down harsh penalties for people cuaght trafficking it to the banned users, and even harsher penalties for the stores that sell to these banned users (a harsh enough penalty to pretty much put the violator out of business). It would really better society. Knowing about the penalties for abuse, the majority of people would drink more responsibly.

I also think its kind of disgusting that some kids on this forum think its okay, cool, and acceptable to do expirimentation with drugs. I don't think its too hard to see the extremely overwhelming negative impact of drugs, so I think anyone getting started on drugs as the result of support from this forum is a blemish on this site.

Yeah, that's all we need is more government intrusion onto our lives. I have the right to get intoxicated. It's not hard to see the negative consequences, but those consequences are all relative. As far as kids experimenting with drugs, it's going to happen regardless. The question then becomes, do you lie to kids about what each individual chemical will do to them, or do you speak the truth and risk them using it. Weed is a great example of how kids are lied to about it's actual effect. You can't lie to kids forever, eventually, they will realize that smoking weed on Friday nights will not kill thier brains. When you tell them it does, you lose all credibility, and they will never trust you again, so be truthful, and *informed*. I am guessing that you are too afraid to try anything. To each his own. Just try to avoid projecting your own paranoia onto other people when you cannot back up what you claim.

Thats an interesting thing to say, Ecstasy is something i'm somewhat concerned about - just a bit scared of getting a dud-pill and getting majorly done over. Like I know most likely nothing will happen but it's just such a concern.

Getting hooked on drugs is stupid(IE Cocaine,Alchohol,Cigs, Heroine) but smoking a blunt with your friends is not doing anything wrong. Whats the worst thing that happens when you smoke? You go to taco bell at 3am?

I'm starting year 12, but if i can get into any more music festivals I'll probably dunk again. Where you from NTC?
