Yeah just what the Dodgers want to do. Send the Yankees perhaps the best pitcher in the game. ___________________________ I don't expect the Dodgers to trade Kershaw and of course I don't blame them. I was just kind of cancelling the Kemp trade with a half serious proposal of my own regarding a possible Yankee/Dodger trade. It's more interesting attempting to pry a star player from a team with a package of GOOD players and/or prospects who can fill a couple of holes for the other team. We are "playing" GM aren't we? This isn't heart surgery. It won't be the first time a team has put together a very good/outstanding package to lure away a star player. They usually call it a blockbuster trade.
Hey '59.... With the Dodgers already taking on huge salaries....who do you think you are to personally criticize me for half jokingly proposing a hypothetical Yankee/Dodger trade involving Kershaw. Are you trying to say the Dodgers WOULD NEVER TRADE Kershaw for the "right package" ? Speak up.... Tell the board....... Lets get to the bottom of this.... I'm just playing GM and kind of shooting the breeze but it seems to me you're the type of fellow who takes himself much too seriously. I would tell you to grow up but I think Its too late for that.
...you make no sense...first you say you were "half joking" about the trade but you expect me to take you completely serious and that I should not "laugh" at the joke part. ...and yes, I'm saying there's no way the Dodgers would do that trade and neither would the Yanx. ...as far as your personal barbs, I won't dignify them with a reply.

Of course I was just throwing it out there hoping someone else (just for the sake of curiosity) would play GM along with me including yourself. I'll give it a try (just for the heck of it) as I do respect your baseball knowledge: You're the Dodger GM, I'm the Yankee GM.....we're just shooting the breeze. Kershaw's name comes up and I ask you (HALF SERIOUSLY with tongue in cheek), "How about if I offered you so and so, and so and so, and/or this guy or that guy for Kershaw". 59', without being ridiculous and asking for the whole Yankee team and farm system- what would you ask for in return?
By the way'59, if you care to play GM along with me and answer the proposal, let me just say that if you replied: "You don't have enough on your team or farm system to get Kershaw"--- I would totally understand.
...OK, OK, I'll play along. I'm the Dodger GM, you're the Yankee GM...........I just instructed my receptionist not to accept any more phone calls from you.
Even a half joking attempt anyone would see this didn't work. Why on earth, even in a drunkin stupor would LA give up the best pitcher in the game. Never heard Atlanta invest any time looking to see what Greg Maddox was worth. Just doesn't make sense. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
