Judicial Watch: Federal Court Hearing to Compel Testimony from Hillary Clinton and Make Video Depositions Public
    NOVEMBER 13, 2018

‘The public and the media have a right to a full accounting from top officials of the Clinton State Department’ – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

(Washington, DC) –Judicial Watch announced today that a hearing will be held in federal court Wednesday, November 14, 2018, on a motion to compel further testimony from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Director of Information Resource Management of the Executive Secretariat John Bentel, as well as make public the audiovisual recordings of the depositions of top Clinton aides and State Department officials, including Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills.

Clinton claimed that she “does not recall” 20 times in her under-oath responses to 25 Judicial Watch questions concerning her Clinton.com, non-state.gov email system. Bentel asserted his Fifth Amendment right and refused to answer 87 questions at his deposition.

The hearing is before U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan.

    Date: Wednesday, November 14, 2018

    Time: 2:00 p.m. ET

    Location: Courtroom 24 A

U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia

    333 Constitution Ave NW

    Washington, DC 20001

This hearing was rescheduled from October 11, 2018, and is the latest development in a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit about the controversial employment status of Huma Abedin, former Deputy Chief of Staff to Clinton. The lawsuit, which seeks records regarding the authorization for Abedin to engage in outside employment while employed by the Department of State, was reopened because of revelations about the clintonemail.com system (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:13-cv-01363)).

In 2016, Hillary Clinton was required to submit, under oath, written answers to Judicial Watch’s questions. Clinton objected to and refused to answer questions about the creation of her email system; her decision to use the system despite warnings from State Department cybersecurity officials; and the basis for her claim that the State Department had “90-95%” of her emails. Judge Sullivan is considering Judicial Watch’s motion to compel answers to these questions.

In her responses sent to Judicial Watch and the court on October 13, 2016, Clinton refused to answer three questions and responded that she “does not recall” 20 times concerning her non-government clintonemail.com email system. She preceded her responses by eight “general objections” and two “objections to definitions.” The words “object” or “objection” appear 84 times throughout the 23-page document submitted to the court and Judicial Watch.

“The public and the media have a right to a full accounting from top officials of the Clinton State Department,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “In lieu of a much-needed, new and untainted investigation by the FBI, the continued work of Judicial Watch in the courts is clearly the only hope of bringing sunlight into the Clinton email issue and completing the public record.”

I just don't get enough news about Hillary. I wish it could go on and on and on and on and . . . Maybe then we'll get some indictments, I'm crossing my fingers.
Do you suppose indictments are just around the corner?

El Chapo on trial: Informant says Interpol, Mexican officials paid to keep drugs moving

Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, 61, allegedly dished out big bribes to keep his notorious Sinaloa drug cartel operating efficiently – with Mexican prosecutors, police, intelligence officials, the military and even employees of Interpol – the organization that facilitates international police cooperation – cashing in.

During the third day of the highly anticipated kingpin trial in Brooklyn,– in which Guzmán faces life behind bars for a multitude of charges related to his apparent running of a brutal Mexican cartel – Jesus “El Rey” Zambada, brother of cartel co-chieftain Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, shed light on the mammoth hush money effort employed to shield shipments coming from Colombia to Mexico, and then to the United States.

Zambada, a 57-year-old accountant, testified Thursday that he was a cartel member from 1987 through his capture in 2008, and oversaw operations in Mexico City. He said he was in charge of ensuring that bribes were taken care of,on behalf of El Chapo and Mayo – who remains at-large and is said to now be at the helm of Sinaloa.

Moreover, Zambada claimed to have personally paid large sums of money – upward of $300,000 monthly to officials – to recipients as high-ranking as Mexico’s attorney general’s office. He told the court he once paid $100,000 to Gen. Gilberto Toledano, in charge of the state of Guerrero at Guzmán’s request to ensure safe passage.

He further detailed that there were several others across in the country in different states and territories who were also in charge of controlling and paying bribes in their designated areas, and that such payments canvassed both federal and state levels in Mexico.

“It was to protect and secure the movements of the cartel and security for all of us too,” Zambada said.

He later described Guzmán’s first prison break in 2001 and acknowledged that he played in a role – giving coordinates to the accused drug lord and driving him to meet his brother Mayo for the first time – and chronicled the bloody war between the Sinaloa and Tijuana cartel which ensued.

Zambada is just one of many key cartel members in U.S custody believed to have “flipped” on the man they once feared, befriended and allegedly worked under.

However, lawyers for Guzmán insist their client was merely a middle-man in the Sinaloa cartel who is now being used as a scapegoat by the “corrupt” Mexican government and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, further insisting that testimonies such as Zambada’ s are not credible.

At times, Guzmán – donning a dark suit – crossed his arms as Zambada spoke.

But at the start of the day, sans shackles, Guzmán instead waved at his courtroom audience while his defense attorney Eduardo Balarezo jovially fixed his client’s tie.

The trial is expected to drag out for at least four months and offer key insights and intelligence into the scope of Mexico’s drug trafficking.

Eisenhower was the only President to see carnage in war, massacred bodies, concentration camps and use his nerves of steel to launch the Normandy invasion. He told people outright but lied when he had to.

Trump suffered worse than war. He had to endure the horror of waiting to see whether he had VD or not. My God, with all the easy sex in the 70s it was horror.

Newt Gingrich is right about the Democrats’ IT scandal -- the cover up must end

By Frank Miniter | Fox News

Republicans are suspicious of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz's (D-Fla.) behavior following IT aide Imran Awan's arrest.

The shocking cover-up of the Democrats’ IT scandal in the U.S. House of Representatives just received a much-needed kick in the shin.

Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, sent a letter to House Inspector General (IG) Michael Ptasienski asking that two reports made by the House IG in 2016 detailing much of what former House IT aide Imran Awan and his associates were up to in congressional offices be made public.

Imran Awan and his crew of House IT administrators were employed by more than 40 members of Congress, all Democrats. Awan worked for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., and others, but was tossed off the House network after he provided false information to Capitol Police. He was arrested as he tried to fly away to Pakistan and has since pled guilty to bank fraud charges in a sweetheart plea deal from the Department of Justice that became a key part of a massive cover-up.

“As a former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and a concerned private citizen, I am alarmed by the appearance of a cover-up of serious crimes committed by a former House employee and his associates, as well as, potentially, members of the House of Representatives themselves,” wrote Gingrich.

As I wrote in my book “Spies in Congress – Inside the Democrats’ Covered-Up Cyber Scandal,” a source in the House showed me these reports. They detail crimes we’d have a hard time believing someone could get away with in a cheap spy movie.

Parts of these reports were read into the record publicly in an informal fact-finding hearing on this case by five Republican members of Congress, almost all members of the Freedom Caucus, in October 2017.

Gingrich says he waited until after the midterm election to send this letter “so it clearly would not be seen as a political act.”

He then characteristically doesn’t pull any punches.

“The presentations provide critical information pertaining to the possible invoice manipulation, equipment theft, illicit cyber activities, irregular cyber-related login and usage patterns, and outside storage of House data by Imran Awan and his associates,” says the letter.

“The plea agreement for Mr. Awan,” says Gingrich, “court appearances, and reported conversations with witnesses connected to the FBI’s investigation of Awan and his associates’ activities suggests that the FBI (while working with the United States Capitol Police) and the Department of Justice have avoided conducting a thorough and meticulous investigation.”

My reporting for “Spies in Congress” found this assertion by Gingrich to be shockingly true. Many witnesses in the House and even those who rented properties from Imran Awan, and who subsequently found phones and computers that were obviously stolen from Congress in the rental properties, told me they had yet to be contacted by the FBI or other authorities to tell what they know.

It is time Republican leadership wakes up and shows the public this information. If they don’t use this lame-duck session to do so, it is unlikely that Democrats will be so transparent when they take control of Congress in January.

n the July 2018 plea agreement,” writes Gingrich, “the DOJ stated that approximately 40 witnesses were interviewed throughout the duration of the investigation. Upon further examination, this number seems substantially inadequate for an investigation potentially involving so many individuals.”

If investigators had simply interviewed all the members of Congress who Imran Awan and his crew worked for they would have had to speak with more than 40 people.

As $120,000 in missing equipment is known to have been illegally written-off in just one member’s office Imran Awan was involved with (Rep. Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y.), investigators would have also clearly had to speak with a lot of congressional staffers to do a proper investigation.

Gingrich notes that the office that wrote off this $120,000 is a member of the Committee on Ethics. An ethics investigation into Rep. Wasserman Schultz and other Democrats never took place, even though these members of Congress paid these IT aides chief of staff-level pay and, in the case of Wasserman Schultz, even kept paying Imran Awan after he and the others were tossed off the House network.

Gingrich also says that in one case “a witness was asked to be interviewed by the FBI but was prohibited from bringing any documents.”

The Pakistan connection is also touched on in Gingrich’s letter. “Close ties between Pakistan and the Awan associates were also identified, including large amounts of property that were owned but not properly disclosed in House Documents,” writes Gingrich.

That’s actually only the beginning of the ties Imran Awan had with his home country of Pakistan, as this sordid tale is actually an international crime thriller of a story.

“The sheer scale and size of the alleged criminal activity, the potential damage it could have caused, and the continual threats it potentially poses for the United States, raises significant questions that every American deserves to have answered,” says Gingrich.

That is clearly true. The emails to and from members of Congress that Imran Awan had access to – and that he allegedly copied – would have been enough to bribe them or harm them politically. Not to mention being able to see how they would vote on spending and other bills, and so much more. In other words, these massive security breaches can, and may already have, impacted all of us as Congress debates, writes and passes legislation.

“If you choose to deny this request, I will appeal to the House membership to pass a resolution that will make public the two documents,” says Gingrich.

It is time Republican leadership wakes up and shows the public this information. If they don’t use this lame-duck session to do so, it is unlikely that Democrats will be so transparent when they take control of Congress in January.

Frank Miniter is author of several books including "The Future of the Gun" & "The Ultimate Man’s Survival Guide." His forthcoming book "Spies in Congress: Inside the Democrats' Covered-Up Cyber Scandal" will be released by Post Hill Press in October.

Judicial Watch Sues Defense Department for Records on POWs and MIAs in Vietnam
    NOVEMBER 27, 2018

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it sued the United States Defense Department to obtain government records from 1973 to the present regarding U.S. soldiers who were prisoners of war or missing in action in Vietnam and Laos (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Defense (No. 1:18-cv-02276)).

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the Pentagon failed to respond to two Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

    A May 21, 2018, request sought:

    1. Any and all lists of American prisoners of war/missing in action (“POWs/MlAs”) provided to North Vietnam as part of the Paris Peace Accords process seeking the return of those
    2. All materials used to brief President Nixon in 1973 about remaining American POWs/MIAs in North Vietnam and Laos.
    A May 22, 2018 request sought:

    1. All live sighting reports of American POWs in Vietnam and Laos from January 27, 1973 to the present.
    2. All data and reports derived from data collected from the program known as PAVE SPIKE from January 27, 1973 to the present.
    3. All satellite photographs of possible or suspected rescue symbols seen in the territories of Vietnam and/or Laos from January 27, 1973 to the present.
    4. All electronic messages containing individual code numbers issued to US airmen transmitted from the ground in Vietnam and/or Laos from January 27, 1973 to the present.
“The Vietnam MIA-POW issue is a sore spot for many veterans and concerned Americans. Why is the Pentagon stonewalling our attempts to obtain information that is clearly in the public interest?” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

    Deep State Mueller.

Robert Mueller was originally nominated by President George W. Bush as FBI Director on July 5, 2001 and was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate on August 2, 2001. Mueller also served as Acting Deputy Attorney General, and was sworn in as FBI director on September 4, 2001

Since that time, Mueller has led a transformation of the Bureau from a pre- 9-11 law enforcement agency, to an agency whose primary mission is national security.

President Obama was the fourth President to ask Mueller to serve in a Senate-confirmed position.

At the time of his 2001 appointment, Mueller was serving as the United States Attorney in San Francisco.

David Bossie and Corey Lewandowski: This is how the Deep State is undermining President Trump

By David Bossie and Corey Lewandowski | Fox News
Corey Lewandowski & David Bossie joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss the news of Robert Mueller recinding Paul Manafort’s plea agreement, Jerome Corsi rejecting a plea deal from Robert Mueller and their new book “Trump's Enemies: How The Deep State Is Undermining The Presidency”

When the Mueller report is finally released—if it ever is released—the Fake News will crawl over it like ants at a picnic. But the one angle they won’t write about is how the deep state played them like a fiddle.

The trick is called “circular sourcing,” and the FBI, under the leadership of people like James Comey, Andy McCabe, and Peter Strzok, brought it to an artform.

The scheme works like this: the deep state leaks stories to the media, then takes action—applies for warrants, initiates investigations, and perhaps partisan impeachment efforts--based on the planted stories as if they’d come out of thin air. Most times, the “evidence” and sourcing in the stories are so thin you can see right through them. And yet, the scheme worked time and again.

For example, the largest investigation against a sitting president in our nation’s history would begin because of a dishonest media leak—one committed by James Comey himself. As we write in our new book, “Trump’s Enemies,” Comey had an agenda from the start. He came into Trump Tower on January 7, 2017 for what was supposed to be a short briefing on Russian hacking. Under his arm, the former FBI chief carried a copy of the infamous phony Steele dossier, a collection of salacious and unverified documents that purported to link Donald Trump to Russia. That document had been sitting on the desks of media organizations for months, who then viewed Steele’s information as too outrageous to publish (maybe the last time they showed an ethical spine). But when James Comey dropped the dossier on the desk in front of President-elect Trump, it went from an obvious pack of lies to “a document that was presented to the president-elect during an official briefing.” The media had no choice but to report it. Buzzfeed published the dossier in full the next day, and CNN soon followed suit, as Comey knew they would, thus bringing the collusion hoax to the public.

“We have profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel that we have uncovered during our review,” stated the DOJ’s Inspector General report back in June.

As is often the case with the FBI, the deeper you dig, the worse it gets. In 2016, months before James Comey dropped the dossier in Trump Tower, Peter Strzok was going after Donald Trump with a vengeance—and using circular sourcing to do it. Strzok had long wanted to go after Carter Page, a low-level volunteer on the Donald Trump for President campaign; he figured he was the FBI’s best shot at framing Trump for a Russia connection. But to spy on him, they would need a warrant, and a warrant required evidence, which they didn’t have.

So, Strzok dug up a Yahoo! News article that suggested Carter Page might have ties to Russia, then used it to apply for a FISA warrant against him. When it was granted, the FBI had free reign to “tap the wires” at Trump Tower. Strzok didn’t mention that the sole source of the article was none other than Christopher Steele, the disgraced former spy who wrote the phony dossier.

Shortly afterward, he had Lisa Page, his lover, leak stories to The Guardian and The Wall Street Journal, this time to say that the FBI was looking into Carter Page’s ties to Russia—the very thing they were trying (unsuccessfully) to prove in the first place! Once again the ruse worked, and Carter Page was forced to testify about a few banal meetings he had in Russia, which, to no one’s surprise, weren’t illegal in the slightest.

Dig deeper and the examples pile up like a stack of indictments. “We have profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel that we have uncovered during our review,” stated the DOJ’s Inspector General report back in June. To make matters worse, the practice was not only systemic but transactional. The Inspector General’s office also “identified instances where FBI employees improperly received benefits from reporters, including tickets to sporting events, golf outings, drinks and meals, and admittance to nonpublic social events.

But it was in politics where the greatest sins were committed: Andrew McCabe planting a story to disguise the fact that the Clintons were giving money to his wife’s political campaign, and James Comey leaking fabricated memos so that a special counsel would be appointed.

If that rogue element of the FBI believes they’ll get away with the scheme forever, however, they have another thing coming, No one knows this better than President Donald Trump. This September the president gave us an exclusive interview for our book. In the Oval Office, we asked him who he thought were his greatest enemies. He wasted no time in naming both the Fake News and the rogue agents at the FBI mentioned above, discussing their crimes and possible repercussions for them in detail.

“The American people haven’t been fooled,” he told us. “They’ve been the opposite of fooled. The American people are wide awake.”

David N. Bossie and Corey R. Lewandowski are the co-authors of "Trump’s Enemies, How the Deep State is Undermining the Presidency."
