Well it looks like we lost out on the KEARSE deal but we signed JONES and QUILL. Jones will help I think and we signed him to a 4 year deal and QUILL was a backup in KC and can help REX learn the system better. I hear we will make a push for TAIT on friday but who knows? I would like to get WILEY from the CHARGERS to fill our DE spot but I don't know if he is even being considered at this time. We may just use our 14th pick in the draft to fill it. Good luck the rest of the way BEARS and maybe we can save up again for next years FA market! I also must say that I don't care much for PRITCHETT being signed again and would like to get a FB that will block for our RB better.

i am against getting wiley. I think the best end available is ogunleye and he would be better aquired by trade with miami than giving up 1st AND 3RD

I wouldn't mind OGUNLEYE at all but who do you think we could trade for him? We need some help since letting DANIELS go at that position. I guess we will make an offer to TAIT today as well. I am ready for football to start already.[IMG]

This is a big plus for us, as we can use as much help in the OL as possible. We definatly needed someone who can gaurd RExX long enough to get rid of the ball. We are also looking at a LT from the BRONCOS. Then we would have right and left covered. I can't wait. GO BEARS!!!!!![IMG]

We have RT covered now as we have got TAIT from KC. A good pickup for us I hope and we also signed a kicker named O'DONNEL from arena football on a two year contract. What moves will be made next? What will we go for in the draft now? Maybe that LT position will be it. We will see and I can't wait to see the "NEW ERA" of BEARS football........coming to a television set near you soon( but not soon enough)! GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![IMG]

Congrats on getting a quality O-Lineman. Tait is a good player. Look out when contract time comes around though. Our dealings with his agent have always been Championship bouts. I think Tait will bring some durability and leadership to your O-Line. I would have liked to see him stay with the Chiefs, but good luck with him this season.

I see we have made an offer to SALAAM (DENVER BRONCOS LT) today. Now the waiting game to see what happens. I hear we are looking to back up the center position also. What will we do in the draft?

Just an update on some things. We signed a backup center for one, and we made an offer to RUBEN BROWN, who will wait to see any other offers first, I have also seen where we are looking to trade a second round draft pick for a FB from the REDSKINS named JOHNSON. I don't know to much about him but they say he is big and can catch the ball in the backfield and hopefully will be a good blocker for us to open up some holes for whomever our RB will end up being. That is all the gossip for today and I will keep an eye out for anything else.[IMG]

Yeah I think the pats talked with brown but I he quit on teh bills last year in the final two weeks and that alone sours me on him. I hope he doesn't end up in New England though if motivated is still pretty good. I just couldn't believe he walked out on his team last year.

The BEARS will find out a decision on RUBEN BROWN today. I have heard that noone else has offered him anything so maybe this will work out for us and we will have another position filled. If or when we have a decision I will keep it up to date. I have also heard that OGUNLEYE will visit next week after we visit with some colleges but I don't see us being able to afford him. I don't think that we will be making to many more moves in FA and will start looking towards the draft forthcoming. It should be interesting to see what we get there. GO BEARS!!!!!!!![IMG]
