they probably go out and nab Carmelo to replace Bosh? Or, piece together a few smaller pieces around Lebron maybe
I think that makes them significantly worse. Melo is a better offensive player but Bosh is the key to Miami's D and without him they become a much worse defensive team.
agreed. I hope they all stay together, becase I think Bosh is a great fit for Houston, would rather see him stay in the east, and Houston miss on all their targets. But I worry they'll land him with a max offer
It makes sense. He wouldn't have to play center with Howard, and they would be a better trio than what Miami would have. Plus he wouldnt have to take less
@ESPNSteinLine: MT @espn_macmahon: I'm told Devin Harris deal reported by @ESPNSteinLine is for similar terms agreed to last summer: 3 years, $9+ million Harris is back with Dallas which makes me think we retained mo williams, the thing is I though he would want more than the bae..wouldn't everyone be stoked if we got mo with our bae?
Mo with early bird or non bird or whichever damn one we have, and go Aminu with BAE, and I'd be...ok with that offseason.
Yeah? I think we need to add a talented wing to the bench whether vet or no vet. For example: Shawn Marion.
There is talent on the bench. But there is no certainty they can be relied on yet. And the starters need to be able to rely on that.
Yes, I'm speaking to your ego. But I agree. They need reliable scoring and D off the bench. He can't go into a third straight year leaving the starters without help.
Is it likely that Marion would sign for the BAE or Vet min? If people complained about Kaman getting the full MLE, I can't imagine they'd be ok with Marion getting the same (considering he's older). If he signed for a BAE or VM (is there such a thing as a vet min anymore?) I'd consider that a great addition. Doubt he'll sign here
Marion may be older, but he's shown he can play in nearly all of the games while still playing quality ball.
I'm not sure how much trade value a 15 year vet, on the downside of his career, has anymore. At this point, his real value is as small contract.
I think he should be on the clock. Maybe he's not. Perhaps Allen is just fine with what he has done. But he needed to build a case for himself going into next summer. I don't feel he has.
