I'd attempt to sign/entice Pao Gasol first. Use as much of the MLE as necessary.

If any money left, then target CJ Miles. Hope Mo Williams either doesn't opt out OR that he resigns for small exception money.

No need for that. We can get Mo's production pretty easily with minimum PG pickups.

Maybe gasol might come here. If he could come off the bench, we got a great front court

I don't think Jerm will be as good next season. Although he has proven everyone wrong the last 2 years.

Out of the bigs, I like Hawes and Gasol. Both players have perimeter games and can rebound.

For guards, I would take Jack

I'm not sure, there are a lot to choose from this offseason, but I would also like to see Robinson and Barton really move forward in their careers and take a solid position on the second unit. But since both those cats are crazy bundles of energy, I think getting a free agent that is more of a glue guy/thinking player would be best. Bayless would be nice off the bench. I would love to get Humphries as backup C. I think Shaun Livingston is unrestricted, he would be perfect off our bench. I wouldn't mind Kirk Hinrich if he's cheap. Dallas has a bunch of unrestricted guys who could be helpful. As I go through the lists, there are a ton of options. The good news, with such a highlighted draft, many teams are focusing there, but this may be a great year for cheaper free agents.

Olshey just needs to sell, sell, sell. Kind of hard to outsell Pao's brother though, if it were to come to that.

Why? what has CJ done? You want to wait 3-5 years to show he's a mediocre at best player before we let him go.

Says the fan that demanded we trade Lopez so we can get asik. Or the same fan that demanded we get Melo.

Not really. Mo leaving is going to leave a big hole to be filled off of the bench. He led the NBA is assists off of the bench, didn't he?

Okay so someone explain how a veteran post player gives us more firepower off the bench. Lopez is more than adequate as our starting 5, Trob is developing nicely into a good hustle energy 4 and Freeland is fine as a backup 5. Where we really struggle is scoring from the 2 and 3 overall, especially off the bench. Sure maybe CJ or Crabbe or Barton can do it, but Wright isn't good enough.

BTW you guys really undervalue Mo. Good good locker room guy on this team.

    One move: Add Gortat

    The rest will develop....argh..."bake"

Chemistry is a good thing - - perhaps we replace Wright with another shooter, but Gortat will add much needed depth in the middle. With LMA, RoLo and Gortat - - we are tough and can weather the mid-year nagging injury.

Either way you got two instant contenders to pick from. Pau is that good.

I think Olshey and Arn Tellem are pretty close, so I would look at players who have him as their agent as possible FA pickups. The 2 I'm thinking of are Gasol and Mike Miller. Veterans who can come in and score, something our current bench lacks the ability to do consistently.

    Avery Bradley
    Shaun Livingston

The former for his relentless defense, the latter because he's a big PG who would work great next to Lillard - the reason I wanted him LAST year.

Soooo... why would Gortat leave starting for and up and coming team to take less money an be a backup on a different up and coming team.

Just like rockets fans were delusional in thinking the calls in the series were going 80/20 against them.
a lot of blazer fans are delusional in thinking all STARTING caliber players will take a lesser role to come off the bench and less minutes to come off the bench as well.
Considering the blazers starters play a lot of minutes why would players that could start for the other 29 teams want to come off the bench?
Bradley/Ariza/Lowery/Gortat are All players that could, and SHOULD be starting on their respective teams. What makes people assume they'd be willing to take a reduced role(minutes/bench/money) to come off the bench? Even Miami can't get those players to come off the bench.
SMH @ some of the posters in this thread.

Edit - Wesley Matthews has already proven he isn't good @ coming off the bench. So please wake up fanatics.
