They will have to bring in some serious development in that area to entice people to live/work there. Prineville is a shit hole.

Tax rate? What tax rate? Apparently it exists on paper only.

Kulongoski and local politicos have done a total sellout (accepted bribes) to business for a few crappy paying jobs which mostly will be staffed with current Facebook employees.

NOT at all what the state's long-term rural enterprise zones are intended for, and it puts a huge immediate and future strain on an already underfunded, crumbling city infrastructure.

BS like this is why you need to vote yes on 66 & 67.

I gotta say, that is a pretty weak payup on a bet, trying to throw in a cheap shot. Its cool. You don't need to take your beating like a man. :tsktsk:

Prineville is a great little town, with 2 lakes, a river, several golf courses, and awesome hunting next door.

BTW, there are some fantastic deals on nearly new custom-built homes in the hills around town. 2500+sf, 5 acres w/mtn view for under $300kish.

The 200 construction jobs will be performed mostly by labor brought in from out of state, as will the 35 low-paying permanent jobs.
