Blanky was the starting PG of the best Blazer team since '99'00. I knew what Blanky could do, and I appreciated it. Then, his "upgrade" Miller comes in and the team stagnated. Doesn't mean I'd want Blanky back in PDX with 2 years left on his contract, though.
Because Miller injured Brandon Roy. BLANKY would never have done that because he's a good and decent fellow. The team never would have stagnated with the "downgrade" of Blake.
Miller was one of the best PGs ever, though. It's never been 'Dre's fault that he bounced around the league like a super ball!
I don't see how someone who viciously injures teammates (Roy, obviously, but probably also Oden) can be considered one of the best ever, unless we're talking assassins.
At this point, anything is better than Failton...... Even Steve-fucking-Blake. Although they must not have much confidence in Nolan if this is the case. We should unload Felton and Wallace for some better talent.
Well, I'd even spend 4 million for Blake over Felton at this point. He's just that terrible.... If that was the only option..... of course with blazer management the way it is, this probably IS the only option..... cry
Blake is less productive, a worse defender and cuts into the Blazers cap space this off-season. Felton is terrible. Blake is an abomination. After that, you start talking about suiting up fans to try out at point guard.
Can POR mgmt be any more inept? If the Lakers want Felton, then trade him for the TPE and a 1st rounder, but certainly not Steve Blake..... Felton is a horrible failed experiment that POR mgmt traded (got hoodwinked) for, but he does have an expiring contract and then you want to deal the ONLY positive about Felton (his expiring deal) and then suck a large portion of that up for 2 more years with a very subpar Steve Blake? That would be completely asinine.....
The funny thing is, Blake would still out prform Failton, while here. Sad but true. Most of it is Failton, but a little bit of me thinks he just doesn't mesh well with Coach Mac. edit: wow, too many fails
when we need players, do we just look at the list of people we've moved or let go and try pick from that? seems that's the first option in most situations
