Crime is a result of mismanagement. Desperate people make desperate decisions. Only a small percentage of people are predisposed to harming others. Some of those people become CEOs, some wind up in jail. Some wind up someplace in between.

Social policy and the response to environmental changes are what drive crime rates.

I don't support people who hurt others unnecessarily. Those people should go to jail.

I am opposed to people who limit social responses, or increase desperation in our communities which increases crime. As we have seen.

I agree with just about everything you said, however we all still have the ability to make choices regardless of our financial situation.
Some go get a second job. Some go back to school for more education. Some steal.
I agree we should not limit services that help the poverty stricken, but i also don't think we should allow the lack of to be an excuse to break the law.

 

Is that what i said? Not even close. You brought up stats on felons. I then mentioned that the crimes we have seen in the american crime spree thread i do not believe to be felony crimes so therefore convicted criminals of these crimes would not have been included in the stat you provided, correct?

i dont know. I am asking. I do know that requires a certain value of the stolen item for the crime to be deemed a felony, correct?
