Seems like the kind of things you're obviously focused on.

I'm thinking more of how he's not hired tens of thousands of government workers, cutting out the ridiculous regulations that strangle the economy, etc.

Stay focused on the shiny things over there.

In Comey's own words, his intent was to force a special counsel investigation. Into nothing, as he knew from the FBI's investigation that went nowhere already.

You graph proves my point and disproves yours. His popularity is not at the same level as his first few days.

Term limits across the country for congress and strict lobbyist rules for contributions would make a huge difference.
Full time politicians are not what the founders wanted.

sure..all I do is sit around looking at shiny stuff and worrying....trust....I can say it many, many times but trust isn't something one throw under the bus for the GNP....I understand though...that's your shiny object to focus on.....I'm way more concerned with the long term Chinese retaliation for Trump's economic bluster....the tariffs will lead to devalutation of currency and now China may sell some US Treasury debt...buckle up....it ain't over yet...now Russia has upgraded their nuclear arsenal .....ever play Risk or Diplomacy? If you have you'll see how backdoor alliances can change the landscape...I think Trump's views are going to have some bad global consequences....Mexico will do business with China and Russia all day long over Trump....today the leading expert in Latin American affairs resigns in Mexico following Trump's cold war phone call....yeah...buckle up celebrate all you want ..

My point was that he's only down ~2 points. My graph proves my point. It disproves the 35% claim you made.

His approval is higher now than it has been since April of 2017.

Stunning how good it is considering all the negative press he's gotten.

The media frequently talks about how they want to drive his poll numbers to the low 30s so republicans might consider impeachment and removal from office.

The media's goal should be to report the news, not to drive down anyone's poll numbers.

Your statement was simply wrong. At the beginning of his term he was as high as 47.4 and is now at 40. How is that as high as any time?

If you pretend I said something I didn't, then argue that I was wrong, it's no argument at all.

His highest rating was 46%, not 47%. At the beginning of his term, he had a rating of 44%, not 47%.

His rating now is 41.2%, not 40%.

You keep getting the numbers wrong. Or you're fudging them to make your weak argument look better somehow.

His 42%+ just a few days ago is ~2% lower than when he took office. As I wrote.

I'm just happy CNN and the others have wasted so much of their time and money on trivial bullshit, destroying their credibility in the process.

Even assuming that were true, why would that make you happy?

You don't like news organizations to have credibility - makes it easier for you to sell your alternative-fact based views, I guess.

Because just about every person on CNN comes off as assholes. I'm happy to see them acting butt hurt because they are.

Their reactions on election night was the very best thing about Trump winning. Beating you-know-who was another.

I suppose you think those are alternative facts.

Did you read today about the European company pulling out of a quarter billion dollar expansion in the States as it is no longer profitable to expand here due to aluminum and steel tariffs? That's not a story about Trump getting peed on by a little girl.....the world is countering the tariff law...watch them spend their expansion money in Mexico now or Canada..I'm sure China, S Korea, Japan, Taiwan and quiet a few other countries will be looking to Latin American countries now instead of our labor force here to invest in.

    I'm no fan of tariffs.

I'm also no fan of these countries dumping aluminum and steel here.

The tariffs are one way of saying we won't be pushed around anymore.

Also interesting - possibly unrelated - Oleg Deripaska stepped down as CEO of the Russian aluminum company last week.
