It seems, based on the videos of lawyers on youtube (albeit, consider the source) that she's doing a horrible job "saving" him, and is being outclassed by Garland at each and every step of the way.
You can debate it sure, but he is not charged yet and won't be for months at least if the judge has her way.
I get that people need to have their day in court, but when the evidence is so overwhelming there needs to be a threshold where they need to say "stop trying", cause at this point its well past the "beyond any reasonable doubt". It's just wasting time and resources.
He's used to fighting people with less money than he has. So in the past, he could just delay delay delay, and the other person would settle and sign an NDA, etc. Problem is, the government has more money than he does and has significantly better lawyers than he'll ever have and also laws on their side.
Good points. He's running out of time and space. I have a feeling this "special master" is the last grasp. There can't be much more once this gets taken down (and it should, I don't know how it gets taken seriously).
Would you mind expanding on that? I'm quite ignorant of the situation but if the Justice Department has to take it to the 11th circuit, that also leans heavily Republican. Saving him in this case seems to just be postponing things and drawing this out enough and creating enough road blocks that Trump can run again. Any chance of that? History says yes.
Every legal expert is basically laughing at her incoherent judgement. If it goes to the 11th circuit, it's more likely they will side with the DOJ.
Except in the courts. See: all the trump bogus election fraud cases. WE have evidence against trump, he had nothing. It's quite different when you have overwhelming evidence.
I don't know, there were 0-60 record in the court cases that Trump (and co) brought to judges that he appointed seems to suggest it's not about politics when you can get in a shit load of trouble for playing favorites as a lawyer or a judge.
