If there is a player on our radar and the word knee gets used, we are right to be cautious.

Word. Being a Blazers fan had made me super cautious about knees. Luckily, Festus was signed for a ridiculously small contract, so if things go south physically, at least we aren't on the hook for much

My main point was that the Blazers being cautious about a guy's knees doesn't mean he is definitely broken. Some people who were bit by dogs as children are afraid of poodles too, doesn't mean much.

Hopefully this turns out to be an under promise over deliver type thing.

Got ya. I imagine Olshey would probably hesitate to sign a contact with a player he thought would have serious knee problems. I am a bit worried, but it's still a great signing, I'll trust Neil on this much more than I'd trust myself or you, or anyone else here.

That statement really does not say much. Of course there are concerns, he had surgery to fix a prior surgery. So now he has 2 years to prove he is healthy.

Now if the "source" said his MRI came back with some concerns...I would be worried. But if that was the case....why sign him at all?
I think they used his injury to low ball him......and I am good with that.

I was bit by my rich aunt's (my sole rich relative) spoiled poodle.

It left me with a lifelong dislike of rich people.

Problem is, after 2 years they can only offer him 175% of his previous contract because they'd only have his early bird rights, and we'd certainly be over the cap. That means that lowballing him means we probably won't be able to offer him enough money in his next contract to keep him if he plays well and stays healthy.

How can you interpret grandmothers as things when Chihuahuas are in the sentence?
