I feel bad for me that I can't play basketball anymore because of my knees. I'd feel much better if Paul Allen would give me $8,000,000.

Okay. Well. So much for my attempt at empathy.

I'll remember this thread the next time I'm a hard-ass about an issue in OT and a certain person is bitching to me that I'm "full of hate".

I am pretty disappointed about the Ezeli gamble. What a difference it would have made to have a healthy Nurkic and 12 minutes of Ezeli a night, to go along with a healthy Ed Davis. (I'm speaking regular season; playoff matchup would likely have been different.)

Yes he has $1M guaranteed if we exercise the team option on him, but if we don't do that by June 30 then he will be a $7M cap hit.

Perhaps more people would know this if they spent less time on BlazersEdge and more time here.

Other then padding your post count, what was the point behind this post?

He doesn't have to be waived until June 30th. It doesn't save the team any money to waive him before June 30th, so...why?

and EVERYONE knew his contract was only 1 million guaranteed for next year.

Fuck BlazersEdge. They are so out of touch with reality on that blog.

They'll probably spend the remaining time until July 1st trying to find a trade, and then declining it when they can't.

Who's looking to dump salary before free agency? Wasn't there talk San Antonio was shopping Danny green? Ezeli and one of our end of the bench guys gets that deal done (i know we'll have to add a pick I'm just talking financially.)

Don't think we want to go deeper in the tax for Danny Green.

He graduated from high school at 14...got a degree in biology and never considered sports as a priority...the guy is supposedly extremely bright and will have a good job outside of basketball...I wish him well...don't really think he wanted to disappoint us but when it comes to injuries...shit happens

How about Boston? They'll need as much cap space as they can get. Jae Crowder and Marcus Smart interest me.

It might not be urgent but it's a pretty obvious 1st step.

I don't know about first step, but it's definitely a step at some point. It shouldn't get in the way of improving the roster though.
