There will be a website for the league. Everyone can see standings, free agents, all that fun stuff. Here's the only catch. You can't make transactions online, you can only request them. So there will be a waiver wire order based on record. And that will have a deadline before it becomes first come first serve and that will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. Any questions?
There will also be an Injured Reserve this year which will give teams the ability to have priority to replace injured players. You will have first dibs on the injured players direct backup. Only if the player was drafted would you not be able to pick him up. IR will have priority over the regular waiver system no matter what the record of the teams are. BUT Waiver order would kick in if two teams had injured players and didn't want to pick up the player's backup. Confused yet?

So any waiver requests prior to the league actually starting will be first come first serve?? What's the criteria if two teams have the same record and want the same player?? Total points scored to that point?
Pre-season would be determined by reverse draft order. Same record would go to division record then total points.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2004)</div><div class='quotemain'>I will have a running board of who has been taken. But there will be no board with who's available. Go to any fantasy website and print out a cheat sheet and keep track. It's not like with 16 teams picking per round, it will be hard to cross guys off of a sheet as you go. Get with the program fellas... this isn't your daddy's fantasy football league! Anyone have issue? </div> If there is any variation between cheat sheets, it might be best to all use the exact same cheat sheet. Why not send one broadcast email out to everyone who signed up with the best available cheet sheet, say 1 day before the draft. Can it be an attachment so that it can be easily saved to the desktop, edited, etc?
I guess it has all been explained pretty well, except for draft order, time, and address of the chat. When will that "random draw" be conducted? Should everyone send a Yahoo! chat account name to the person running their draft so they can be invited to a chat? I saw a time of 8:00 for the draft start... Is that Central time, which means 6:00 Pacific? Just some minor things to clear up for the guy who drafted in "your father's fantasy football league".

That would answer all of those questions, and give us time to inform everyone when, where, and how.

The user interface would probably be a lot easier and auto-magic rather than doing it all manually. Then, we could copy the list of draft picks into your customized league and go from there. I'm just worried about myself trying to both draft my team and manually keep track of everyone else that's drafting simultaneously.

Then everyone goes to the yahoo league and drafts. Rosters transferred and league begins. Hell, we could keep the yahoo leagues and play them on the side, too. I would be happy to set up the draft for my conference.
It used to be that yahoo had a limited amount of leagues that it would manage and you had to schedule draft times based on what was "available". Packmatt just now made me aware that we can set it up anytime, so that is the format we will use.
For instance, if you went to http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1 and signed up for a team in a custom league and used league # 469430 with the password "football" you would be signed up for the HBK Conference Draft at 9 pm central on Wed. Aug 25. Again, that's HBK Conference league # 469430 password: football draft time 9 pm central on Aug 25 (Wednesday) just need to make sure you're java enabled so to run the draft screen. If this time is not convenient we can change it or you can set your team to "autodraft" and you can prerank your players or just use the Yahoo prerankings to draft. If I've overstepped my bounds on this, I'm sorry, but if we're having the draft this week, people need to know so that they can plan for it. Now, just need someone from the other conference to do the same thing.
Steelerfan_2004 I've looked everywhere to find a board, or a cheat sheet on Yahoo. I couldn't find any. The only way I know how to copy a cheat sheet is to join a league, the board will appear, and then copy it, is there a way without joining another league.
There's a player list on Yahoo so we're ok SC73... You goin' to the game tonight? Matt, thanks for setting it up... that's the draft that ROTR was setting up, I will probably do the same thing... How many teams did you set it up for?

If ROTR is setting one up, disregard mine, but it's already there and the info is available. People can join at any time. Didn't mean to try to step over you with it, but the sooner managers know where to go, the better. It doesn't matter to me which league is used...it only took like 5 mins to set up, so if it gets torn down, I'll get over it if we need more teams, it's doable, same for less teams. Just want to be able to plan for the draft in a reasonable amount of time, and I'm sure everyone else does too.
So anyway, I've done this... Not knowing whether it is right or wrong... But at least I'm in. I think. Thanks LSU.
