I say the USA team should be THE EXPENDABLES - JR Smith, Carmelo, Monta Ellis and everyone from the Big3 League!

Now Simmons has withdrawn from the exhibition games as well.

Reading between the lines, the Aussie coach didn’t want him playing the exhibition games if he wasn’t playing at the World Cup.

Now Australia can prepare properly without having to worry about integrating a player who isn’t going to be there for the real stuff.

No surprise really: John Jenkins is a SUMMER LEAGUE CHAMPION!!!!!

(Also: revenge for Jeff Van Gundy for the 1999 finals...)

Damn! This is bad ANY way you look at it. Even if they just roll the rock out there, they should handle this glorified G-League team.

Just an example of why I think Pop is the most overrated coach in the league.

The Dream Team lost to a team whose PG was Bobby Hurley.

He probably has more talent when he's coaching the Spurs. Whose the best player on the US team?

Doesn't matter. The worst player on the US team is better than the best player on the Select team.

Brings back memories of the 1992 dream team. Considered to be the best bb team ever. 11 of the 12 players are in the HOF.

The dream team also lost their first scrimmage against college players. It took a game for them to learn how to play together.

The second scrimmage, the college players never scored a single point.

Let's be honest...... I'm not even sure that team would win a championship in the NBA.

They’d probably have the best bench in the history of the sport, but their star power is a little lack luster.
