Players who should be signed by NBA teams on the strength of their performance in the WC: Miroslav Raduljica (can't understand why the Clips waived him) Andray Blatche (if only he weren't such a flake) Hamad Haddadi (slow as molasses but vacuums up the rebounds) Petteri!!! (if he had a slightly more reliable jump shot, or Rudy's hops, he'd be here already) Of course there's always: "Marcelinho" Huertas Milos Teodosic Giannis Bourousis But those guys seem content to earn big bucks playing for the Euroleague giants. (Talking of whom: I would bet big bucks that Real Madrid would beat the 76ers handily in a 7 game series. It wouldn't be close. I'm not prepared to say that they could be a playoff team in the East, but it wouldn't amaze me.)
17-18 and the half is almost over. Sheesh! On the plus side, half the (small) stadium is empty, so hardly anybody is feeling cheated.
France leads 23-22... at HALF TIME. Batum is pretty much invisible on offense, but he's working hard on defense. The Croats should be better than this - they've got some talented players.
Batum's invisible in Europe and the NBA. There must be somewhere where he's worth $12M per year. France up 40-30.
Maybe in Casablanca. Bogie fouled Batum who was bringing it downcourt. Bogdanovich has weight and looks ready for the NBA right now.
