I never feel comfortable trying to do tricks, too many buttons to hold when you have >1 second to do it.
Interesting points, not that I disagree with them, but some of them dont work for me. I'll try the Right Stick to get by the defender havent tried that. I suck hardcore with the trickstick, no matter what the defender just performs a standing tackle. this I agree with. I remember when I first went up to World Class on Fifa 10, it was the most aggrivating few games of my life. By about the 4th or 5th game you get used to is though. Pro has become to easy for me personally, I got sick of scoring like 8 a game. I cant even try Legendary though, I dont know of anyone who is good enough to succeed at that difficulty. At first on fifa 11 I went away from 4-3-3 I just couldnt link passes together to get any kind of build up, but keeping at it, I seem to have gotten the hang of it. Maybe for me it was like the difficulty, just needed to get used to it. But my wingers up top have provided some great crosses to RVP or Chamakh especially. But in order to do that I changed Crossing assistance to "Semi" I can control the power, but it chooses the post. When I had it just as "Assisted" it always went to someone who was marked, and would get headed away. The penalties took some getting used too.. what really helped me was practicing it in the arena before the menus.. there you can pull up a blue dot by pressing the Left trigger that will get you used to the timing of where you aim in the real game. Seriously before that, I literally was like 1-7 on PK's. The tutorial vids really helped me. Corners work very well for me as well. I think I'm closer to 75% power though and I move the left stick a little towards the Box as I kick it... but that could be helpful cause I use Cesc on both Corners. and yes Substitute, substitue, SUBSTITUTE, like Ronan mentioned about Walcott, the same is with my Defenders, mainly my RB and LB get exhausted since I bring them up on the attack so much... by the end they might not be able to chase down a winger or striker who might have a break away.
Anyway, quit your bitching. Here is my current season, made as a manager, fuck that manager/player shit. Club: Queens Park Rangers League: Championship Projected finish: top four Transfer kitty: ~12m (sterling) Players in: Rodwell (Everton) - 6m Ferdinand (Sunderland) - 2m Wilshere (Arsenal) - Season loan Cudicini (Tottenham) - free All in all, I feel like I made some pretty solid purchases and I can definitely see the different Wilshere and Rodwell bring to my attack. Ferdinand has been pretty average but is still a solid centreback for the Championship. I drew Hull in the Carling Cup and beat them 2-0 but I have Manchester United in the next round so I'm not expecting much. Probably going to rest my squad. Right now I'm on top of the league with 17 beating Hull on GD. There are six other teams within two points of me so... It's tight.
Playing a 4-2-3-1 with Wolfsburg and no one can score on me! Picked up Mikel from Chelsea and with two CDM's (Josue and Mikel) i get clean sheet after clean sheet. Problem is, i have a tough time scoring, but the briliance of Dzeko helps
I dont know if I could do the who Promotion to the EPL deal. Sounds like fun, but is it fulfilling and worth the time?
Its much better than playing manager as FC Barca, Man U, or Real Madrid thats for sure. Plus, it's the thought of making a team special out of nothing (not necessarily). So yeah.
Interesting I might have to try it out. I do have fun as Manager of Arsenal though, cause the players have so much skill. Can you move up in jobs like you can in other EA games? like the College ones, where you do so well you get offered other jobs?
And it's fun because your reputation moves at a slower pace. You don't become a star manager at the end of a season like you would with Chelsea. I'm in season 2 with Nottingham (got promoted) and i'm bordering the 2 1/2 star rep.
Most definitely. In fact, I find it the most fulfilling thing to do in Fifa but of course that's all subjective. I've always liked building up a squad from the ground up (one that was originally the bare minimum) and seeing if I can get them into their country's highest league. I simply chose QPR as a beginner team because they have the highest transfer kitty out of the Championship teams but I've actually grown attached to my current squad so I don't think I'm going to scrap it. Usually I start from the very bottom (Oxford!) and see what I can do. The thing you gotta do it ride the results you get. You aren't going to win every match and you probably won't be promoted every season (if you're playing on World Class) but that's the best thing about it. Remember, free agents are you friend.
