Calling me a "homer" is like calling our last president intelligent. I am not a Blazer fan. I am an NBA fan. I will be a fan of this team when they get new ownership, as I've stated many times in here.
Might be the worst take I've ever seen. Winslow is lucky to be on an NBA roster and making a conclusion off of one game in which we got blown out by 30 points is beyond idiotic. No way around it. The fleecing the Blazers were victims to in this trade are of historic proportions.
Roco sucked this yr, let's get real. So his trade value IM) was nada, Powell got last year's 21st pick, Bledsoe is basically an expiring, a 2nd, and IMO a decent Winslow with upside if healthy. Winslow is a Chauncy type player - good D and IF healthy good be a real nice pickup. Let's give Keon a chance before we pass judgment on him. Could we have done better? who really knows, but it's not that bad, one of the real key questions if this is a sign of whether Dame stays or goes.
Completely disagree. But appreciate your sensical nature in trying to explain why you think it isn't that bad.
Idiotic statement on Winslow, guy was good IMO in Miami, had some significant injuries past 2 years like a hip replacement and is just now getting healthy. Can he stay healthy? that's the big Q, but he already has shown he has talent to be a rotation player - get a fukkin clue
Some fans need to lie to make themselves feel better. I don't blame them because the return was inexplicably bad and they don't wanna feel shitty. But they should if you actually want this team to compete.
You're missing the point. It doesn't matter what Winslow or Johnson do. It's their perceived value. For example, in 2014 we could have traded LaMarcus Aldridge for the Nuggets 2nd round pick. That pick turned out to be Nikola Jokic. That would have been a good deal in hindsight, but it would have been a terrible deal in terms of value. We could have gotten much, much more.
Nobody is saying they needed to stay. What we're saying is that we should have gotten a first round pick or two since Caris freaking Levert just got one. Can't have a discussion with people who are being disingenuous.
Nah man. We need to just give away our talent. That's the way to a contender. They were end of the bench guys anyways.
6 days before deadline and you believe they tried? Horrible take, home slice. If you feel disrespected than that's probably just you feeling guilty for trying to sell us on something as ridiculous as "we got max value for our guys."
Exactly. I'm not all that familiar with you, Amiricon, but from what I can see, your talent is calling every post you disagree with "hoorible take" "the worst take I've ever heard" etc;... In the scholastic world of debate, there is a word for fellas like you.
All of a sudden RoCo and Powell are scrubs and the Blazer front office did their best regardless of getting under the cap? "The guys we traded lost in the first round to depleted Denver in the playoffs and had a horrible start to the season .......we weren't trading guys who were impacting our ability to win games." Basically @riverman , you just described Dame for this season. Powell and RoCo were worth more than we got. Our front office and ownership is just a joke. Even if there are more moves coming, I just have a hard time imagining this is the best they could have done. What LaVert (injury issues) just got confirms that to me.
Well, don't we finally have the proof that we didn't get good value? Powell better in most statistics than LeVert, especially efg % and three point %, better slightly in some advanced stats and worse slightly in others. Yet Indiana just got a first and second for him plus an entirely expiring contract, not one with a guaranteed $4 million next year. Who can now say we got the best deal possible yesterday? And that expiring just as big as Bledsoe's.
Hard to say, a package of young prospects. I’d do it for Jaylen Brown and a first. I’d do it for Simmons package.
