I would bet money that some of the same people now claiming Powell's contract is bad were praising it when Olshey gave it to him last summer. Back then, having him signed for 5 years was a victory and Olshey was brilliant for executing it. A"a valuable trade asset!" they claimed. 6 months later, the contract is bad and Cronin is brilliant for dumping it
when Powell was signed i don't remember a single negative comment. Most everyone thought it meant cj was going out aNd was ecstatic overall of the contract for the starting sg position i think most of us thought he would take over.
Then I would suggest making that clear. Im pretty sure myself and most everyone else read when you posted ”move on dude” meant, stop posting about how bad of a trade it was. Not that YOU had moved on.
can you blame anyone for thinking you were telling them to move on and stop posting aBout it? your post starts with, “move on… done deal”. how can you spin this as you saying you moved on?????
lmfa the fucking O!!! you did? Read the post two above this. clear as smoke from a rubber tire fire maybe…..
im not feeling the dread many are here but I'm always gonna try to keep it real. Everyone thought powell was a good signing.
Those are straight up lies. You called me a name. I said your logic was similar to a qanon conspiracy. Those two things are not the same. I never told you to shut up. I said the following. That is a big difference from telling you to shut up. And it was in reference to you telling everyone to move on.
If I could turn back time, if I could find a way I'd take back that trade that hurt us and Norm'd stay Even if Ant becomes a star, doesn't mean you give assets away I don't love CJ, I mean meJ, like I did back in the day Make that trade... If I could turn back time
No point. I just find it entertaining watching you make excuses instead of just saying, yeah i could have worded that better to make it clearer. Its entertainment!
Notice that at least one GM thought it was advantageous to have a good player on a "long-term contract"; he did not view this as lessening the value of the player, but rather as enhancing the value; presumably because it was a reasonable contract and the salary cap had just gone up again.
What does he know--he hasn't been fired from a front-office position and settled for becoming an NBA analyst.
