the problem is that this playoff series will not help them win more in the regular season. maybe it'll help them in the post season...MAYBE, but unless they play the same rocket team in the first round, its a different beast.

We need to win and win now, not "chalk this up for experience".

I don't think that the Blazers, nor Pritchard, nor even Nate, suck.

Portland lacks experience and this is a bad, bad matchup for them. Are people actually surprised that we didn't win in Houston? Really?

Yes. We're a better team than this.

Anyone else just absolutely hate Outlaw?! Seems he has more cold games then hot, and no matter what he shoots just about every god damn time!

Outlaw is 9-30-FG and 0-7-3ptFG for the first 3 games

I don't hate Outlaw but I would like to see him traded for a upgrade at SF.

Umm, seems like most everyone else hates him. The guy can't win. How many times has he been off or even so-so during most of the game only to catch fire in the 4th? And when he does hit the crucial shots to take the lead and/or win the game, people still bitch that it wasn't a good shot and that he shouldn't have taken it. Yeah, fuck him. It's all Trout's fault. Always.

If the refs were officiating this series evenly, we'd be up 3-1 right now. On top of all the bad calls today, they gave Scola 2 points when the shot clock was expired. There's the game right there.

Not to say we've been playing our best ball. We gave up 16 offensive rebounds today, and the Rockets probably scored like 45 points off them, because they seemed to drain a 3 at the last second off of every god damn offensive rebound. We held them under 40% from the field and lost, that should never happen to a team that is supposed to be the #1 rebounding team in the league.

But despite all that, we've played well enough to win if the NBA didn't favor the Rockets.

I told my girlfriend tonight during the game that Outlaw is the one player I would like to see traded in the offseason. The TNT announcers were raving about him, but they don't watch him play every night like we do. He cam always be counted on to make a boneheaded play at a crucial time. I get nervous just watching him with the ball in his hands. I've felt that way for 6 years, and I'm tired of it.

    I love seeing the ball in Roy's hands, however . . .

I am glad I wasn't around any internet message boards after game 7 in 2000.

I don't think that everyone hates Outlaw... it's just extremely difficult to come in and remind people how many games he has helped us win.

Outlaw is a pretty good player, but he's playing very poorly and the team is on the verge of elimination... why would anyone stick their neck out on the board to defend him at this point in time?

I may be the exception, but I've never liked Outlaw much. He seems to know only how to do one thing: take his man off the dribble and pull up for a jump shot. That is essentially the only play he knows.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I get nervous every time he touches the ball. I just have no confidence that he'll make a smart play, or even the right play. He's not a thinking player; he's a playground player.

He could learn a thing or two from Roy.
