Unless we get something for Mase at the deadline, that trade could come back to haunt us. RHJ had the defensive potential that this team sorely lacks and Mase only had two years left on his deal. Now, with the team struggling mightily, it doesn't make sense to retain Plumlee for 12-15 million and you don't want to let him walk for nothing either.

Compared to the other large contracts we handed out last summer Plumlee is the only one who earned it. $12-15 mill seems like a bargain. We need to keep him.

I like Plumlee as our Kurt Thomas type big...give you a few points and hustle on defense..not sure he's staying around with our glaring need for a rim protector though....somebody will overpay him just like the Nets offer to Crabbe..

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Harkless has earned his so far. Of course, part of that was adding a three-point shot and we'll have to see if that sticks.

Gotta disagree here. He doesn't impact the game on either end the way we need him to. Yes, his passing is great and he gets close to triple-doubles on more nights than not, but it's not what this current team needs. We need a big who can score a bucket (on his own) in the post (a reliable 10-12 ft jump shot would do wonders for this offense as well) and protect the paint. Mase is in that weird category where he's probably too good to be coming off of the bench, but you probably don't want him as your starting center. If our guards were better perimeter defenders, then you could probably get away with Mason starting but that's not likely the case for the foreseeable future.

I'd rather have Plumlee come off the bench than Meyers. Plumlee brings effort and fight every night.

If Plums would be a soldier and sign for 10-12 mill as a backup it would help us with the finances immensely to improve this team.

If he does, I think we are the only team that's going to do it. Not a lot of teams around the league that need a center and Plumlee has been around long enough for teams to know that he's an effective, but limited center.

His assists are up, but I'm not sure many other teams value his playmaking enough to use him as Stotts' does.

Plumlee will be offered $20 million per year this summer. You guys have just never seen what I see in him. The only improvement his next coach needs to teach him is to dunk instead of finessing those bobbling layups. That will convert all of his missed shots into made shots for a FG% of 100%.

Wow. I just looked it up. I can't believe that he shoots 4.3 for 8.1 attempts (.534). It seems like he tries a lot more than 8.1. You don't think that dunking would make those 3.8 misses?

He really confuses me. It always seems like he could throw down a nasty dunk, while drawing a foul, and then he try's to lay it in....

That was Bayless, now we use it for Plumlee.

Don't we usually save that kind of smack down for ex-Blazers?
