Trusting your stars for two options off of a play and then editing the rest of what CJ says about trust is bullshit.
Coaching doesn’t matter? Look at what Pop is doing with all that talent down in San Antonio. Only current playoff team in the West without an All-Star.
Please bump this at the end of the season if the Spurs finish top 8 or miss the playoffs for the second straight year.
I guess I kinda get this, but did Lebron bail out Vogel, Lue, Spoelstra? Did Jordan bail out Phil? Do Steph and Klay and Draymond and KD bail out Kerr? Did Magic and Kareem bail out Pat Riley? Isn’t that what great players do, by definition they do things to win games? But in Portland it seems like Lillard wins games while his coach is trying to lose games? When Lillard plays amazing basketball he wins games on his own, but when other great players win games they do it with their coach. I don’t think Stotts is great, but just think people need to maybe find a new thing to bitch about.
Got it. My point was, bump it regardless of outcome and let's access the situation at the end of the season.
What you're saying is that it would be much harder to find a championship team without a great player(s) vs a championship team without a great coach? If so, I agree. One is far more important than the other. Almost every championship team has 2+ players considered top 10% in the league (top 50); all of them have 1 top 50 player. There are a handful of examples where a championship team won without a top 3 (10%) coach.
Well, that'd be the 2nd best thing to happen to this team if they don't win the championship. And with stotts here, we won't.
Would have been better if we nipped it in the bud at all-star break. Now we have to underachieve another season/post-season with Damian and a fairly stacked roster which will go to waste.
Yay! Jason Quick said something that really hasn't ever been in question back in December and we can post about it and add another page to the Fire Stotts thread. You do all realize this was posted before both Nurkic and CJ were injured right? It was even before we were told about Collins having to have another surgery.
Doesn't change the fact that it's true. It's been true for years. No reason to minimize it. Accept it. Stotts is an awful coach that needs to go.
